We talk to Steve O' Rourke (@denton376) who talks about how the pandemic has had the silver lining of opening up Europe to Irish Boxing, and not just for @ORourkesgym fighters.
O'Rourke has a special word for the professionalism of the European commissions and talks about how journeyman fighters in Spain come to fight, not to fall over which does wonders for his fighters sharpness. "We are all Europeans" stresses O'Rourke as he highlights how the horizons are a lot wider for professional Irish boxers going forwards.
Many UK and Irish boxers at the elite level have gone on to fortune and fame all over the world, but for others, the boxing world seems to start and finish on these islands but O'Rourke has discovered that a whole world of boxing is there to be explored just a short plane ride away.
