I have an idea. Let the auto CEO's give up their hundreds of millions in annual bonuses for greater pay equity. A working American shouldn't have to live from paycheck to paycheck, or even below the poverty line. Reagan's "trickle-down" economics is really just "trickle-on" economics.

You have to remember that the stockholders of the auto companies voted to give these top executives those salaries. It was the stockholders who voted to give these high salaries. I'm sorry but, COME OFF IT! Compared to any huge company, including all automakers, the incredibly aggressive behavior of the companies still dwarfs any union's attempt to earn a decent living for it's membership. If anybody hopes to makes gains on the losses that have occurred over the decades then a more determined stance must be taken. Whatever your sympathies it's absurd to suggest that the auto companies have in some mysterious way tried to be reasonable. They have the money to do whatever they think will give them more profits. In short, they've always been very irresponsible. If the stated policy of a very large company is that nothing matters but the bottom line, then how can anyone believe for one second that they behave in a responsible manner? A firm stance is the only sensible answer.

Very bad reporting. One sided. Discuss higher cost of cars, wage inflation and reduced corporate profit but never mention the financial sacrifices of the workers to keep the corporations in business, that executive pay has been increasing at astronomical levels but not blue collar wages, replacing full time employees with part time, and stock holders making huge gains while shifting manufacturing overseas and to cheaper wage areas. Corporate media sucks.

Apparently you've never heard of a doctorate degree? Of course not. You're a Trump voter. Would you ask a dentist to remove your appendix, too? And yet, a dentist is a doctor. And would you want a dentist to teach History at a college level, or would someone who has a doctorate in History? Btw, Jill Biden probably is a lot smarter than you.

genius, Jill is a doctor ... i am a doctor of engineering( DEng ) i use that title on my business card and published papers or i can use PhD if i wish.... when a person spends years of study, we have earned the right to be pretentious, just as a medical doctor does.

they need to do an old fashioned shut down and lock in strike like they used to do...bet the crap out of anybody crossing the line and light their cars on fire...thats how they used to get things done and it worked..the unions now dont have the fortitude to do it old school and get some progress.

If the CEO's make 3.5 less millions the companies should have enough money to give us a 25 dollar races and still make the same profits without increasing increasing car prices, so our life's will be improved but that's a sacrifice They won't offer.

What an ignorant post. The laws of capitalist economics still apply. Workers are free to move on to better paying jobs. If they can't find one, then they are already being paid what the labor market says they are worth.

🫣 The United States of America is just an assembly line because two of the four branches of government (House of Representatives & Senate) have cut the tax code so deep that the USA no longer has the permission to host major manufacturing companies. No steel, paper, textiles, chemicals, tech manufacturing, just assembly line. 😂 1 little, 2 little, 3 little Indians 🤣 1-000 ♟️
