Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) showing why he is one of the best there is with huge range! Steve brought in Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Pete Thorne (awesome guitarist I never heard before), Neil Jason (Session bassist for Lennon, Knopfler, Brecker Bros., etc- google him), Anton Fig (Paul Shaffer's NBC Orchestra) and this was a piece in the middle of his set! The Iridium is located at 51st and Broadway, NYC, www.theiridium.com

I’ve seen Steve do this solo multiple times it never will get old he always adds just the right amount of extra notes to make each time special hopefully I’ll see him with billy this February!

He may be underrated nowadays, but was not underrated at all in the 80s, I clearly remember being placed besides the greatest at that time, Eddie Van Halen, Brad Gillis, Steve Lukather

The guy is a rock guitarist who plays flamenco. Is he the best flamenco player- obviously not. Hats off to him for playing in a genre that is not his main focus. Beauty of KZfaq is you get lots of idiots making stupid comments.

@@donmiller2246 Joe Walsh sometimes plays a Godin , he even has a Godin Signature model , he says they are the best made electric guitars because of their strength and precision detail. There are a lot of guitar gods , Steve Stevens and Joe Walsh along with Mark Knopfler , David Mason , Tommi Emmanual , Lyndsey Buckingham , Slash , the Edge Jimmy Page , Jeff Beck and not forgetting Eric Clapton , there is a few more but I can`t remember them off hand .

Technically, it's not true flamenco guitar he's playing because he's using a pick. Still, all of that aside, he is quite a gifted player. But if you want to hear true flamenco shred guitar, check out the late and great Paco De Lucia.

more like jazz fusion on a nylon string guitar, flamenco is impossible to play if holding a pick, for all the technique lies on the right hand

I love Steve Stevens but this is not remotely close to flamenco. It’s like saying playing the Phrygian scale makes you flamenco player. Just google Paco, Tomatito, or Sabicas.

This is not Flamenco is Aflamencado, don't have DE Andalusian Cadence and not have the armonic wheels of "Palos Flamencos"
