🔥Steve Stevens breaking down one of the all-time favorite riffs: "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin. The magic is in the details-using the open low E string and pulling that note just slightly sharp gives it that iconic edge. Let's dive into the riff that changed rock history! 🤘🎶 #SteveStevens #BillyIdol #WholeLottaLove #LedZeppelin #GuitarRiffs #RockLegends #GuitarTechnique #ClassicRock #MusicMastery #IconicRiffs www.jonsguitar...

Totally under-rated player and a nice guy. Was fortunate enough to meet him right before billy idol blew up in Dec 82 when they played the college hall where my uncle worked as an electrician. 50 years ago, Steven Schneider was just another kid in our Far Rockaway neighborhood. While we were spending all our time outside playing ball, he was spending all his time inside practicing on his electric guitar. We could hear him playing all day long and just thought he was one more kid dreaming of becoming another Jimmy Page. We never imagined that he would grow up to be Steve Stevens. His dedication and hard work paid off.

It took a minute to copy that riff correctly. In January 1970 I had to ride my bike way down the hill to a record store on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Highland to buy the album with my Christmas money, it was $3. I about wore out the stylus on my dad’s turntable, but eventually figured it out. I was 13 years old.

One crazy part of learning to play guitar, and learning to play all your favorite songs is that in the process you discover that there’s a big difference between what thought you heard, and how you thought a song goes, versus how the song actually goes. Once you’ve gone though the songs sheet music or tablature, you find all the ways you were mistaken, and heard it wrong. Then it creates a moment where you listen to the song again, and for the very first time you hear all the little details you missed before. You’re hearing the song as it truly is. You then gain a whole new understanding of the song, and the song takes on a whole new life in your mind.
