I like how you both use the rarest and most priceless thing, Honesty. No side stepping or sugar coating here.

A lot of people have asked me about the acoustic guitars on the wall behind the console. It's definitely not ideal to have them there but to be completely honest I have not had issues with them being there. We have tissue paper stuffed between the strings and the fret board which has tamed the potential issues very well. I think that every studio has certain obstacles that you ultimately have to learn to deal with and adjust your ear to.

That is not a 'sweetshop' - it's heaven. Loved this vid and meeting Greg Wurth for the first time. I may have to sacrifice several more hours watching this again. Steve Vai's studio...awesome. Thank you guys. Can't believe it's taken me so long to find this.

As an engineer and gear head, this was great to watch. Warren was so into everything in the studio and I loved the commentary by Warren and Greg on each piece of gear.

Warren, first off, I just have to say thank you and commend you for the all the work you put into your KZfaq channel, and in particular the studio tours are all so interesting and full of insight, but this one and Patigonia with Greg are two that I come back to regularly just to digest the sheer amount of gear! And Greg is such a gentle and articulate soul as well. It's really a great service you are providing on so many levels; showcasing the talented engineers/producers that have every bit as much to do with what music is as the musicians themselves (and I say that as a musician first and recording enthusiast second), and sharing such valuable information with people like myself who have day jobs outside of music, but still have a passion for writing and recording music. I just find most involved in recording at a professional level to be such a diverse group, highly intelligent, visionary, and extremely cerebral. Keep doing what you do and just know how appreciative so many of us are for your dedication to your craft and continually giving back to the community and helping to give a voice to your amazing peers and colleagues. Wow so rare to see an 1178! I have one and absolutely love it!! I track vocals through it, no matter how hard you compress, it's never falls apart and always remains musical. It just sounds great!
