What's funny is, if the Leafs hadn't lost that 4-1 game, we wouldn't be where we are now. As bad as it felt after that loss we are in a much better place because of it.

You admitting you never saw Darryl Sittler and Borje Salming play made me realize my age. I'm going to go cry in a corner now. But before that, I watched the ceremony with my Dad. Darryl Sittler was my childhood hero, and Dave Keon was his childhood hero, and we got to see both our heroes have their number retired together. A moment I'll never forget!

I'm a Ducks fan, and Andersen is always underrated, he does amazing without being noticed so most people don't tend to fall for him in net, but he is so poised for not having an abundance of play in the league. Then if he has a bad game nobody remembers the good games he has because he's not flashy and people hate on him, he's a solid goalie enjoy him Toronto. In my mind a poor mans Schneider, with the potential to reach Schneider's play level.

im not even really a leaf fan but i love lfr and started watching at 7 or 8

The game was at 8 am for me (yay time zone differences and living in South Korea) and I watched the vast majority of it (before sleepiness took over and the Cubs game) but I am so excited about this season. Maybe I should. R cautious though. Like very cautious. This is the Leafs after all and they specialize in pain and making you feel every emotion.

Only 2 games played this season and all but 4 players have at least 1 pt. Watching these first 2 games has showed me that all 4 lines have scoring threats. I don't recall the last time I've seen that - maybe back in the Gilmour days?? That'll come in handy as teams continue to try to snuff out Matthews like Boston did last night.

The leafs burned our slow D over and over. Also didn't help Khudobin couldn't make a stop in the first. He did get better throughout the game but gotta give the Leafs a lot of credit, they played extremely well. But damn the Leafs future looks so so bright.
