Steven was literally playing with water guns in his sermon. Jesus rebuked the pharisees for leading people astray. What Steven is doing is essentially child's plays in what's supposed to be a teaching of the word of GOD. This is leading people astray

Including clips without context is a good way of getting people to watch. It's weird to me that the first guy (John) wants to talk about juvenile behaviour of the church, gives the example of Steven furtick and calls him unqualified... All while playing a juvenile game of "say a one word description of.... (usually another Christian)". John has repeatedly bullied people online who he doesn't agree with. A concerning pattern is that he uses "pick n mix" techniques without explanation. This channel states that it's purpose I'd for "discernment" but I only see clips spreading rumours, gossip and incomplete information

John is very devisive and repeats the pattern of attacking Christians and not giving context or explanation. To "discern" the truth we need to know the context, all that was said both by John and by Steven Furtick. We also need to refer to our bibles to see the scriptures for ourselves and pray. This channel just copies clips from other sources, passing on gossip, rumours and incomplete information.

Well that's not what the Bible says. He demand us to look for some very specific qualifications on the men for the calling to ministry (1 Tim. 3, Titus 1) and you just prove that shallowness in the understanding of the Biblie is real.

And yes, by the time they were filled with the Holy Spirit in Acts 1 and after a 3 years intensive course by God Himself in the person of Jesus they were ready and qualified and we can see it in the whole book of Acts.

Difference is all those you listed came to know the one and Only True GOD. AS for some of the examples you listed, Leah being ugly or Joseph being abused this has nothing to do with their understanding of GOD Almighty, rather it's individual circumstances that they had no control over. Steven literally went on record calling HIMSELF "God Almighty" preserving the gospel by saying when God revealed his name I AM to Moses he was also giving Moses that attribute as well. It's Blasphemy and its why the Bible says beware of false prophets and people in sheep clothing If you'd defend the gospel as much as a false prophet you'd understand how dangerous this is

I agree with you! There's nothing in scripture that says one must dress in a suit to meet with a local church. At the church I attend everyone dresses casual. How you go dressed to church service doesn't mean anything. One could be dressed casual and be a fundamentalist than one who is dressed in a suit and be liberal.

If you want to find Steven furtick on KZfaq you can try "elevation", that's the name of the church he and his wife Holly started. ... Steven is a good preacher, relateable. He uses stories about real people and the struggles they face and refers back to scriptures. To me he brings the bible stories alive and helps me to apply the lessons to my life. He serves an international community of Christians. I find it funny that the man calling Steven furtick "unqualified" resorts to name calling and bully tactics and then talks about the church being juvenile. He also talks about shallow teaching, shallow worship, etc, but then follows traditions and rules set up by men. He seems to be a hypocrite, arrogant and his words are very devisive. @@debragrewar97 I was just talking about this with my wife and I said to her that everyone who Jesus chose to follow him was unqualified in man's eyes but Jesus knew what he was doing and he also was treated like that as the scribes and holy men who were also Jewish did not accept his teaching and said it was blasphemy... Ma'am for you to say that either you have not listen to John MacArthur more than that little bit you saw and you have not watch more videos of the Watchdog other than what you just saw. Do yourself a favor and watch "Self Deceived" by John Macarthur. You will learn what it really means to be a Christian. Then watch some teachings by R.C. Sproul to really learn more about God's word.
