And when his dreams where connected in the TV we get to see the preview of it in the episode where Greg and Amethyst where having fun until Amethyst shape shift, we got to see the TV got interrupted when Steven close his eyes

I don't think he was traumatized by that and it was a dream but maybe Peridot attacking them with the hand ship traumatized him, Peridot looked scary in that scene. Peridot also kidnapped him at one point and that traumatized him a bit. Every single one of the gems in his life hurt Steven in some way without meaning to.

Ooh! I forgot about how Peridot almost killed him when they first met...so the things she did to him affected him even if he doesn't realize it or tries to ignore it because he loves her now.

I think in this episode Peridot finally understood how much she hurt Steven and that her actions had severe consequences. She hurt someone she now loves...😢

Rebecca confirmed this in an interview that Steven never fully forgave the Diamonds. Sure they are family to him in a sense but it's obvious that he sees the Crystal Gems as his true family.

Yeah, and let’s not forget the diamonds tried to kill everyone and Steven has to confront them, white diamond being the one who would’ve succeeded if Steven couldn’t fuse back with Pink Steven. If the original series had a few more episodes, just before Change Your Mind, it would’ve made it possible to change the whole dynamic the diamonds had and make them better people if they admitted what they did, and tried to make up for it somehow. As for white diamond, Steven would’ve taken a long time to forgive white, considering she almost killed him. If Rebecca said he never fully forgave them, in my opinion, I would’ve written several episodes that focused on the diamonds redeeming themselves for what they did to millions of colonies. And yes, I know that couldn’t happen because of the schedule and limited episodes they could write, but still. One last thing, and I know this’ll sound cliche, but I feel like episode The Future should’ve had everyone Steven helped out, at the beach saying goodbye to Steven for one final time. The diamonds and spinel could’ve at least been there to give one more farewell to him, and the B Team too, but oh well, the episode still was a great send-off for this amazing story

Blue Diamond's new powers. Short of that, I doubt that they have medications. I imagine that prior to the show if a gem was not able to act the way it was made and expected to act, then they would use a rejuvenator to white them back to "factory settings" or they would shatter it, considering it to be defective or off-colour.

@@williamswonderland3636 Yah, if any of those things are possible for gems to have, and that is not how they were intended to be, then I imagine they would have been shattered. But since they are essentially AI according to Rebecca Sugar, I do not know if it would be possible for them to have ADHD or the like. Then again other gems (like Rubys) appear to share similarities with features common among those with ADHD. But they were made to be that way, if it the sort of finely impulsiveness that makes them spontaneous and effective guards. So, because of their context, it would not be seen as a fault or illness. Remember, mental illness is socially constructed and historically determined by one's context. A person who hears voices and sees visions today might have been seen as a religious visionary in the pre-modern world. So I would imagine that for gems: 1) They likely would not share humanity's illnesses nor the delineation thereof. 2) If they exhibited traits that did not align with their intended design and which they could not hide then they would have been shattered or flee (I am thinking of the off-colours like Padparadscha here). 3) Some gems might be functioning as designed, but their design happens to hold qualities that humans have classified as a mental illness because it differs from the norm in what a particular culture at a particular point in history determined to be detrimentally different from the norm. In that case I doubt that the gems would care, since the gem would be functioning properly. Now - if a gem tried to live on earth and take up an occupation wherein their design's similarity to something that human's have medicalized (like ADHD) then they may have a problem. this would not have been an issue up to the point of Future. I image that (post show) the diamonds might try to employ the appropriate adjustments. But that gets creepy, if the diamonds change something so central to a gem's nature than is the gem the same gem anymore? However, given that the gems seem to gravitate to earth occupations that do align with how they were designed, I doubt this would be an issue.

I think she thought Steven wouldn't want her to do that. It's something like when family or friends tell you emotionally personal things about themselves but you feel conflicted to tell someone about it because they trusted you with this personal information and you don't want to betray their trust in you.
