I spoke with a coworker, we both worked at a grocery store in a town Steven Seagal used to live and he told me Steven would come in after the store closed to shop around and he was extremely rude. My coworker hated him and I defended him saying stuff like “Well he’s a popular actor he doesn’t want to be bothered while he’s shopping.” But after hearing all of the things he’s done and it just keeps piling up further and further, I can’t really defend the guy anymore and there’s no doubt in my mind that he did what my coworker said.

@@plsguidemethroughtheabyssmona from what I heard, they punished him by diminishing his role. He dies in the first fifteen minuets in the film itself, the rumour is he was meant to be part of the ensemble but after that incident, they rewrite the script to kill him off and trolled him by having him contracted to work the full shoot, so he had to remain on set in his trailer for the whole duration of filming, constantly getting his ego bruised cause the director kept stringing him along and saying “oh yeah, yeah we’re getting to your next scene real soon dude, don’t worry”. Best part was apparently Steven and his agent went to a screening of the film and when he died, the entire audience cheered. Steven apparently broke down in tears and had to be consoled by his agent who was making excuses like “no, no dude they cheered cause the death was so good, they love you” His ego is so easy to bruise.Bob Odenkirk had a whole story about it around his time on SNL where Hans and Frans were originally meant to mock Steven and say Arnold could beat him in a fight. So if he's spending that much a week he'd be getting it cheap as shit. My point is in theory he'd be doing even more than you'd think with that discount. Even then, I can do a ball in a day and my nose is completely fucked for at least 2 days after the fact. My uncle was a martial arts extra/ stunt man for various films. He worked on set with segal once. He would often spar / pracrice with the other extras, pass the time until the scene with practice/ training etc I guess segal walked in during one of these practice bouts and for some reason got very violently upset, he started knocking tables over on set, wrecking props etc. Apperently he was very insecure about his lack of legimate martial skills and would get violently angry with the extras, even more so if he saw them practicing.

1:46 - thats not rough. Thats perfectly normal and quite elegant actually. When you're learning martial arts, first thing you learn is how to fall down in a way you wont injure yourself. So that later on when everyone is knocking each other down, no one gets hurt. So the guy that was knocked down knew perfectly what was coming for him and knew how to respond to it. You can even hear a distict clap noise at 1:45 which means that he absorbed the impact of his fall with his hands.

As someone who has performed Aikido for nearly a decade: I find the idea of Aikido as some 'fighting style' downright inaccurate. In my practice, there is no competition when it's all about self-defence, redirection and misdirection. Had Seagal's demonstration of Aikido been true, everyone would have had a bloody lip from Yoga. And even if it was used in martial arts, it's often in conjunction with Judo and taekwondo, among other known martial arts. And honestly, Keanu Reeves did it better in John Wick than Steven Seagal tried to make it practical.
