What makes Spielberg a genius is what makes all good directors great is because he is a great storyteller

It's 1982, you're 34 and have 4 blockbusters behind you with another on the way. You wake up in the morning and just know that you piss awesomeness. Lucky, lucky man.

Please think about this--Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, ET: The Extra Terrestrial. The man could have dropped dead right after ET, and would still be remembered today as one of the greatest directors in film history. 4 masterpieces under his belt before the age of 35. It's a stunning achievement.

Thanks for uploading this but that cliffhanger cut off at the end falls in line with the serials that Indiana Jones was based off of. Well done! haha

I had to laugh at the end when the interviewer asks him "what would be a bad review for Steve Spielberg? What would be the worst someone could say about your film" and I just knew he was going to saying "boring" it was obvious by the setting and nature of the interview that that response was coming. But the reason I laughed is that seems to be the consensus on Lincoln, or Lincolon as I read it recently called on an IMDB user review. That aside, he's so much talent wrapped up in one man.

There are stories that Spielberg took control of the set. Hooper was willing to ride back seat
7 жыл бұрын
Spielberg has credits on this movie as producer, writer, and story. So he had a lot of control over the movie. But the director was Tobe Hooper, and Spielberg co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Grais & Mark Victor.
