My boyfriend had played me this song one night when him and I were cuddling, after talking about his mental problems and issues and we were just holding each other. While the song was playing I knew he had always felt like a villain because of his diagnosis. I always would tell him how much I loved him and never wanted him to doubt the infinite love I have for him. He just kept looking me in the eyes as the song played and I knew how much he had loved me, but I still couldn’t help but feel sad knowing he still seems himself as a villain and doesn’t realize how happy he makes me. I know he’s the one. He’s my other half and the one I want to spend forever with. Though we’ve always had our ups and downs, I’m his and he’s mine. We want each other in our future and I get emotional just trying to put the words together to just explain my love for him. Caleb, I've been a huge fan of you for the longest time. I've been subscribed since 70,000 subs, but recently I've been having health problems. I got some doctor work and it turns out I have been neglecting a huge problem for a large part of my life. I essentially have escalated to stage 4 terminal pancreatic cancer within the last year and a half. My doctor told me last week that I only have 3 months if I'm lucky. I know this comment will probably get buried in the sea of comments, and I'm not even expecting you to read this, but if you manage to, and you have the time, please try your hardest to make a "ZENZENZENSE" cover from my favorite movie "Your Name." The English cover was ok, but I know you would absolutely blow it out of the water. For the past few years I've hated who I was. I though I deserved to die. When I felt so depressed I used to listen to this song. Specifically this cover. It reminded me that there was hope. I loved this cover especially for the added part. "People say this love is wrong, but all I want is to belong". (Btw I hated myself cuz I thought that I was bad because I'm gay). These two lines reminded me of what a LGB person might think. Plus going along with Caleb's angelic voice, this cover is perfect. Thanks for singing this, listening to this helped me a lot. It's like if an older Steven had returned back to beach city after years and years of his long,self-discovery travels and experiencing his old childhood hometown with fresh,mature and responsible eye-and when he visits his dad and the gems (and possibly well-enough,an older Connie whom that she took up a student-teaching job or something akin to the sort in beach city for underprivileged youth and newer gem-folk and begins with a sort-of relationship with her again) with tales and songs of his travels,taking a part-time job at the old carwash awhile after finding a cheap apartment cross-town and moving into it sometime later..and one day,he finds some of his dad's old music lyrical sheets in one of the offices while clearing out one afternoon and brings it over to him and Pearl (whom is home with Greg that day,fortunately-she sometimes teaches Gem/Earth history/fencing lessons and concepts/collabs/makes/sells classic pie-inspired donut flavours at the big donut/Lars' little pastry shop on the odd weekday/weekends while..still keeping amethyst in check,honestly) later that evening,wondering on what this was.. Greg and Pearl look at each other and tear up a little bit when they read the lyrics on each page Steven brung them; Knowing both the story of Greg's former musical ( _namely,Rock_ ) Career AND how they (both Pearl and his dad's history of) met his mother Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond all those years ago,Steven _figures_ it was Greg whom had wrote it at first-Greg chuckles, _it turns out-It was actually a COLLABORATION of both Greg and Rose/Pink/his mother's._ Greg had occasionally overheard his mother sing these to him (Steven) and to herself while pregnant and,by writing the aforementioned lyrics down on his free time between washing cars over at the carwash occasionally on the side after times that he'd go walking in the moonlight on the shoreline of the beach most nights that when he couldn't sleep and Rose/Pink was feeling lonely while experimenting with a soft-piano like melody on his keyboard, _trying to mimic the tune that had he had always listened to while growing up as a kid and by a stroke of luck and stress/caffeine-induced sleeplessness-he'd found the right musical tone for her song (Which he had put/recorded the demo onto a cheap,little cassette tape player he bought from a thrift store when he was in his late-teens,with an empty,yet light-pink tape and played it on the rare occasion while on his nightly walk with the pregnant Rose/Pink and watched her calmly sing the lyrics to this lullaby to herself/their unborn child at the time and finally figured out that the lyrics pretty much indeed fit,so to speak) and let her listen to the musical demo-He had recalled that she had chuckled and utterly LOVED the idea of turning her little lullaby into a full-ledge song,saying it reminded her of the music of an earth musician she,Garnet,and Pearl met once sometime after the Gem rebellion (this was _before_ amethyst came around..so,think..probably around the time of when the former Mayor Dewey's ancestor/beach city's founder was still alive,maybe older-maybe younger,but before Dewey's ancestor met Pearl and Garnet at the time,relatively-speaking of course) and was intrigued by,at first. Steven's, _unsurprisingly,a BIT (playfully) skeptical at first_ ,but Pearl pleasantly confirms that it was true: For a while,leading up to _EVEN BEFORE STEVEN'S eventual conception-Pink'/Rose's encounter and romance with Greg_ - Steven's late mother always used to sing a song akin to JUST like the one (It's called _"love like you" on the page/s-Shocker_ ,don'tcha think?) Steven brought along with him to his dad and one of his former maternal/motherly-figures' attention,most times she would've sung along herself,honestly,as she shrugs and chuckles warmly to him; Steven also wonder/s why it was unfinished-the reason being that it was supposed to be a gift for him for when he either came of age,sung to him whenever he wanted to know about his late mother when he was a baby/young child,and/or with the possibility of being given to him for to be sung to Greg's future grandchild/ren so if THEY could know about their late grandmother's story/legacy if they asked Steven about her ,but it was cut short when Pink/Rose passed in childbirth and Greg had to shelve it in both grief,sorrow and responsibility of being a single dad,while also being stumped on how to end it-Having a hard time creatively/lyrically thinking of what PD/RQ would've had said at that point in the song-so Steven- _knowing that the 45th anniversary of Beachapolooza AND the anniversary of his dad meeting his mom and the crystal gems coming up-he asked and immediately got his father's blessing to finish and sing the song at the event..Leading to Steven,dressed in pink and white,singing this at a grand piano on the beach with everyone (Gem,human and all-including his dad,Connie and the Gems-in the audience) in attendance..and they love it,later finally proposing to Connie and getting her acceptance of it (A retired and widowed Dr.Mahashwaren generally approves of the eventual nuptials,but with much playful snarkiness in her tone,much-so..) and it ends...kinda well actually..Steven smiles.
