She was a very realistic illusion from the residues of what's left of her unconscious. I say this because the room probably has probably stored part of her memories (why Greg is the most realistic in Rose's Room - -a combo of both Steven and Rose's memories of him) and personality (The pink whale which speaks in her voice that asks steven what he wants). Also parts of her unconscious are stored in her gem which explain the Blue Diamond connection, the illusion of Rose in Rose's Fountain and, again, the pink whale that speaks in Rose's voice. Someone on tumblr noted that her character model goes from reverse to normal, probably symbolizing that the final Rose is in fact a projection of the parts of the real Rose which still exist. After all, ALL of Rose became half of Steven so her memories have to still be somewhere in the Gem.

I think the Charlie Brown moment is sort of symbolic that every time Steven seems to be locating answers about his mother, it gets yanked away from him (and us) again.

So did anyone else notice that Rose was reversed when she first appeared (her hair part was on the right side) and towards the end she becomes more like her real self and her part is on the left side like it normally is....so at the end she is real

I'd like to point out something important - her skin tone. She is depicted as having a human-like peachy skin tone, but when the room first forms her she has white skin. (It is my theory that this is the typical appearance of a rose quartz, and the Rose we know changed that to be more like a human). But after the storm, when Steven is confronting her, she returns to having her regular peachy tone - which is consistent with your comment that if she was ever actually there, it was in that moment. (I even considered her skin tone being due to the lighting, but since at the beginning of the episode her tone was the same white as her dress and then later they were two different colors, I rest my case). Or, it could've been a coloring error during production and actually has no meaning.

I feel that Roses spirit is acting through the clouds in the room. It was having heavy feelings towards her that caused her gem to glow and opened up his room (Her room by extension) in the first place, the room actually talks to him in a previous episode and her energy is all over that particular room already, being as it used to be her room to begin with. The part where Rose states that "They have been together the whole time" is also very telling, as the room appears to be conscious of the facts. The fact that Rose and Steven are literally fused together in a room with Roses energy all over the place makes it seem plausible that he was able to summon her spirit through the clouds in her room.

I disagree with you. We really don't know much about Rose at all, except for some snippets of her life philosophy, her love of humans, and her rebellious nature. That's not enough to know how she would act and what she would say. So it's difficult to say how real the Rose in this episode was, but she seemed very real to me, if not the actual Rose. I mean, she doesn't know how to be a mother. Gems don't have mothers, and of course she never had any children before Steven. I see her attempts to relate to him through football shenanigans and video games as what Rose would genuinely do. And of course he couldn't photograph her! She couldn't take form! Not as long as Steven is alive, if ever again. What the blackness tells us is that the rooms don't exist; they're more like... a state of mind. Projections of the gem's will, a psychic projection that affects those who enter the room, dependant on the gem. That's why they can't exists without the presence of the gem that created them. Thus, nothing in the room, not even a projection of Rose (maybe with her actual consciousness), would show up on camera. Nothing is real as it is outside the room. But they are real, in a sense. What is the world, after all, but our brains comprehending raw data from our senses and forming images, smells, tastes, sounds, and feelings? The rooms, then, trigger the mind of the individual as their sense would, making them think they see/touch/hear/smell/feel things, without those things having any physical form. But because a phone doesn't have a mind of its own, it's incapable of seeing what's there. Basically, if the Rose in the room is real, then Steven is a gem with TWO distinct minds, one dominant and active (Steven), and one latent and hibernating (Rose Quartz). I think that's possible because Steven has an organic brain as well as a gemstone. The gemstone is usually where the gem's mind is stored (hence why corruption and damage alter their state of mind and their bodies, their bodies being projections of their mind).

I have my own theory, I believe that the "Rose" was fake but maybe she spent enough time in the room where the room would be able to have a sort of stored memory of her, like a cloud copy of a file (no pun intended) the physical body of rose wasn't there but just maybe what she said is acually what she would have said. the room knew her enough that it would be able to fill in what she would have said.

I don't know. It's just so complex thinking about what we know about the gem's characteristics. The gem core, holds all of the consciousness that makes up the gem, it's a pseudo infinite space where gems are able to store objects, and as we've seen in Rebecca's comics of the series can be quite intricate and personal, holding even their memories. Who's to say that maybe the rooms aren't a projection of this internal space that holds not only things about the gems but their memories and personality as well... If we look back at the episode where Steven enters Sardonyx's room we see that the room falls apart the moment Sardonyx ceases to exist. This could be a reflection of that possibility, where the "pocket" of the gems are projected within the confines of those spaces. Even then, Rose's Room is still that, her room, even if she and Steven are one. It's not unlikely that this room still correlates directly to his mother's "psyche" and personality, even if it appeases Steven's desires. Whether or not this happened in the episode, I'm sure it's a 75/25 as you mentioned. Rose and Steven are feeling the same experiences. I feel that the moment Steven became physically distraught by his mother's existence, she stepped in to assure him that every thing that had transpired was out of love. I need more Rose/Steven moments. :( Rebecca stop hurting us!

Fake obviously but it's her room so it would know her well. She is like the real Rose. Just like how Greg seemed real in the episode "Rose's Room" He started making less sense though because Rose found him as the most caring and loving person but it glitched out due to lack of knowledge of him.

I like to subscribe to the theory some people have that the room can reproduce things that have happened inside it, so: At the beginning, the cloud Rose is just what Steven imagines spending time with Rose would be like. When he is reminded by the phone that she's not real and releases his pent up emotions, that's when he REALLY wants to talk to Rose. And while it is NOT physically or spiritually the real Rose, the room then makes the cloud Rose much more realistic. Because the room saw so much of her, it was able to create as accurate a representation as possible. The things she says and does at this point are accurate to what the real Rose would say and do, were she present. Think of it like a photo of a painting: It's not technically the real thing, but an extremely accurate reflection, and able to get all the same points across. ~Lunara

Steven has "seen" Rose Quartz three times: twice in video (LIon 3 and We Need To Talk) and once by hologram (Rose's Scabbard), so Steven's memories and imagination could create a reasonably accurate duplicate in The Room. However, before Steven blew up at "Rose" , the image was strangely fuzzy and off-model, which taken with her rather goofy behavior shows that "Rose" was merely created from Steven's wishes. However, after Steven angrily accused her of being a liar, "Rose" looked and sounded much more like previous model, and I think this was to show that the consciousness of the real Rose Quartz managed to break through in those few moments.

A theory I like is that Roses gem uses the room as a catalyst to manifest herself. Like you said "There can't be two rose quartz gems" So it is logical that Rose; from inside her gemstone, used the room to generate her physical form while remaining part of Stevens body and talking through the "Cloud manifestation" of her body.

I Kinda Feel That Towards The End It Was The Real Rose, But Not Physically. See, Something Rose Mentioned In The Tape Always Stuck With Me, When She Says (And I Don't Quite Remember The Exact Words) "Every Time You Love Yourself, That's Me, Loving You And Being You." I believe Rose is ever present & the one in the room was real (if not entirely, at least at the end); She can only manifest while in Rose's Room, since her Gem is currently/permanently part of Steven's biology, she must manifest herself via a different medium than light, whatever dream material the Cloud Room's made out of. **Adventure Time spoiler(?)** It's kinda/exactly like Finn's Mom in Adventure Time; she uploaded herself to a supercomputer (because reasons) but with a super futuristic VR headset, Finn was able to "physically" meet her.

I think Rose communicates to Steven subconsciously, which is why he reacts similarly to her in certain situations (such as telling Bismuth shattering Gems is wrong and how he talks to Pearl in "Rose's Scabbard"). When he is in the Room, it can talk to either of them. When Rose seems awkward (such as during the football scene), I believe that is the Room responding to Steven. At the end when she speaks to him about the tape and everything like that, that is the Room responding to Rose. )

The hug was not the first thing that Rose initiated. The Peanuts-style football kick was her idea, and immediately afterwards she beckons Steven to sit next to her. For me, this is the greatest evidence that Rose was real, because it was more initiative than any other cloud-projection had ever shown (except possibly cloud-Connie, but that's because Steven explicitly told her that he WANTED her to disagree with him). On the other hand, her speech about sports is almost identical to the speech that she left for Steven on the VHS about life on earth, and (perhaps most damning of all) there's never any indication that this Rose knows anything beyond what Steven has seen and heard about her. There is compelling evidence on both sides of the argument, but personally I think that this is the real Rose.

My friend and I were discussing this after this episode aired. Our general consensus was that Rose's consciousness may very well still be inside her gem, but she can't form her physical body because Steven's physical body (which is actually physical) is currently surrounding her gem, and so the light can't escape to form her. If her consciousness IS still in her gem, though, it could stand to reason that, while her abilities would be more subdued due to Steven being the one in control, she may still be able to control her room, but only if Steven was physically or in this case emotionally weak enough to let her take over. After he lets loose all his emotions, he may have been emotionally exhausted enough to allow Rose to slip through and take control of her room just long enough to actually speak to him. However, after Steven has calmed down and regains control, Rose loses control of Cloud Rose without Steven regaining control of her, hence why she disappears without Steven telling her to. It was just our theory we developed at work trying to pass the time in a dishroom at a restaurant on a busy Sunday lunch rush, but it was the best thing we could come up with.

it might be possible if rose's last words might have come from the Rose within Steven since,, he does have Rose's gem. maybe once he was done and confessed everything Rose's part of him decided to speak up and take over the cloud speaking since whoever has the gem, which is Rose and Steven, can control the clouds.

idk I felt she as real because after he said "you'd not my mom" she seemed suprised. Also she was in the room remember she is him and has always been with him. So when he took the photo he would only get him because she is in him. At the end, that's when Rose is real when she says she didn't lie. I know this cuz the design of Rose is really off during the first part of the episode, but the model became more... correct at the end.

This could go either way but there is a lot of creepy evidence to support that this may have been PART of her consciousness. Like why she pondered stevens thoughts on the videogame. Or how she even questions her own existence. If Steven was fully in control of her, why did she flip out?

i think 3:47 is the room telling steven what he thinks rose would say based on stevens memories like how at the end of the other episode when the whale asks "what do you want?"

I believe that it wasn't rose at all the whole time, it was still his interpretation of her. At the end even though what rose said did sounded genuine, she wasn't answering his question. She was just relaying it back to him like every other entity in the room did like fake Connie saying, "what would you like?", "what do you want?". In fake Rose's case, it was "What do you think?", "What do you really believe." We know that deep down, Steven loves and believes that his mom was always doing the best for everyone.

An episode like this one could never be a filler.

huh, My theory was that since that is ROSES room and Rose probably spent a lot of time in there, thinking over her own problems and playing around with different projections so she could vent her own feelings - I would like to think that the room created a projection of what it remembers about Rose, and what Steven knows about Rose. The room is a harsh teacher, and seems to have a mind of its own or have a mind mirroring Rose. After all the projection of Connie that only let up when he finally spoke his mind seemed to have a personality of its own, like a mom trolling her kid and in a way to punish him. So it wouldnt be too far fetched for the room to actually make some things based on what it knows about Rose (heck the Charlie Brown moment and the talk afterwards could be ALL the rooms thing remembering that Rose was fond of jokes but was also a good leader and able to bring people up when they are down) but the videogames part for sure was JUST Steven, wanting to share his hobby with his mom. The angered Rose and the last bit was both the room and Steven. The room probably knew what Steven said is true but knew how it made Rose feel as Rose probably came to let her emotions out there (thus the expression on Roses face - trying to keep a front while probably breaking down inside) and that last part - as someone who has lost a Father before having any memory of him - I think it was Steven trying to comfort himself and the room adjusting to Steven, wanting him to calm down and let his mind cool off. Telling him something he already knew and something he questioned the most.

Think back to when rose's room created beach city. when steven talked to greg he was very realistic. so, rose who seems realistic would also be fake.

Think of it this way. If the Room effectively bends to the will of the gem it belongs to, and if Rose isn't completely gone from Steven's gem, then it may be possible that from "inside Steven's gem", Rose "willed" the cloud-Rose to saw what she wanted it to say, and the Room obeyed because technically, Rose is about as much of the Room's owner as Steven is. This is simply hypothetical for the time being, but it's still possible. The main points to bring attention here include if the Room can read the owner's mind, or if it can only obey speech and if there's even enough of Rose left for her to have a "will" at all. Food for thought, I suppose.

Actually considering the understanding that Data can be stored on gems both in SU and RL. Throughout the interactions of Rose's Room and its manifestations, with an early example in the Steven/Connie episode where they re-enact an entire story, the illusion of connie in wedding dress taunts him in a way that makes it almost as if it is aware, demonstrating aspects of personality that seem vaguely familiar to a certain gem we know. There is the possibility that Rose is able to manifest in the Cloud Room but not her Physical Hardlight body as its easier to project a Hologram and wouldn't require her to reform while in said room.

i think rose in storm in the room is just a depiction of rose from and steven and had this own idea of rose, but i think if he revisited his room in steven universe future, that wouldn’t go down well...

What if Rose set up her room like that though? What if she knew that Steven would've been able to go to her room and ask about her after she gave up her physical form? Like, it's not a real her, but it's her. Not what Steven wants her to be, but what she set up for Steven when he was ready to see her.

I feel like she can't be real because at no point does she say or do anything that doesn't fit with Steven's knowledge of his mother. She acts how Steven was told she was at first, then when he gets upset he's seeing her in a negative light and she gets all stormy and dark, then Steven realises that despite her flaws, she does care about him and he had a good time hanging out with his Mom, even if it was fake, and she goes back to being caring. Even the mention of the tape seems arbitrary - it's something the real Rose probably wouldn't have mentioned in that moment, choosing to speak from the heart instead, but since Steven has seen that tape and it's his only real reference for how she was, that's what the fake Rose makes reference to.

I don't get why people think the Rose in the room is real. The episode was Steven trying to cope with his feelings and his questions by imagining Rose. If it really turned out to be her I would stop watching the show.

Maybe Rose created her room specifically for Steven as a kind of escape for him? I mean, I find it unlikely that such an important leader in the rebel movement would devote her room purely to an imaginary environment and her pragmatic temperament adds to that. It seems more likely that she made the room for Steven, knowing it would be a way for him to feel closer to her and escape from the trouble she's set him up in. Considering that, maybe she foresaw Stevens curiosity and thought he was probably going to use the room to find out more about her so she programmed it so the cloud rose would say whatever Rose wants to say to Steven. This is likely seeing as the room indicated towards Steven when he said he wanted to know his mum which it hasn't really ever done before.

I believe this too! The Room just shows it's interpretation of Rose, so it makes sense that it would be a "fake" Rose.

we know the crystal gems can alter the magical properties of the rooms in the temple as seen in the Test. it could be possible that Rose magically "programmed" for lack of a better word, her consciousness into the room, so that if Steven ever needed her, she could still be there for him, give him advice, answer his questions even though she can't exist anymore.

What @Hipster Madara said plus, he wanted the real Rose, or at least the closest thing. The room doesn't like being challenged at the task it was designed to do, so being told that this psychic image he wanted to see wasn't good enough the room worked overtime to read the gem and cross reference the data to make Rose with the data in the room. So while it wasn't Rose, it was certainly the closest fake possible. When Steven challenged the room about Connie it dove deep into his mind to achieve it's goal, and found a relevant desire to fulfill, even if it got rough about it. The room is certainly sentient to a degree, and is very capable of connecting to a Rose Quartz (the gem holds the data to make the mind) and through the gemstone read the gems mind. Data for Rose is still of course present, so the room used that too.

The one thing I'm sure of it that Rose was there. A part of her was there. The reason for this is because though Steven was feeling uneasy Rose's Room activated on it's own. This room has proven to be able to think for it's self. It's practically sentient in a small way. When the whale spoke to Steven in Rose's Voice before Steven even heard her voice, how and why would it do that? The fake Connie wanted Steven to tell the truth, it no longer did what Steven wanted, it acted on it's own until the issue was resolved. And with Steven meeting his mother with in the room we also have more things to note. When Steven became upset, the reaction of the Rose with in the room was not confusion it was taken a back but the room knows Rose is Steven's mother. At the time Steven became upset the room began acting on it's own. Comparing the panic from his first time in the room, to the fake Connie, to this, and the changes in the room are evident. Rose floating in the air like a lost soul was the room rebooting the data. It spoke to Steven in a way it shouldn't have with out information. But it did. Rose's information was given to the Rose with in the room and became the real Rose for a crucial moment to do what a Rose Quarts was made for, comfort a human and wash away it's pain. This is why it rained. This is why there was a "Storm in the Room". The information that Rose had on the Zoo was with in her Room and it aided Steven the only way it knew how to. As Rose Quarts who loves her son, but also as the Gem Rose Quarts who cares for humans. There is more to Rose's Room then we know.

the gem/gems that open the room it could be linked in more ways than as a key. The room could represent the gem and the personality it has. If this is true it could mean that the clouds that make up cloud rose could be mostly clouds of course but a tiny piece of real rose could be mixed in. when steven asks to see his mom steven is asking to show who owns the gem that is what allows the room to be and work. Its like someone asking to see a fully silver statue but instead getting a stone statue with a thin line of silver in it. Welp those where my thoughts but i dont really fully know how it works so peace.

Hey it's another cool su theorist! Time for me to watch a bunch of theories

I am conflicted, i think it could be both real and fake. To bring up a point, the room dosn't ALWAYS bring up what steven actually wants, and I beleive can actually bring up what he needs. Case in point, when connie and steven are re-enacting the book to rewrite the ending, by the time we get towards the end, fake connie is not acting like connie nor acting like how steven wanted her to act. She (fake connies) even states that she knows what he really feels. This leads me to beleive that the room possibly has some sense of sentience, or mabey it was even the crystal heart speaking. Of course there not enough evidence to prove any of this, but merely to point out that it would not be the first time the room has acted 'out of character' so to speak

The only want that I would consider Rose to be able to communicate to Steven through Cloud Rose would be that because she's part of his physical form now, she can use his abilities to communicate to him. I'm pretty sure that Steven's ability to communicate through others is due to his human form. Humans need sleep. They dream. Their brains are far different than that of gems, allowing Steven's strong emotional tie to his powers to come out through his empathy.

In the episode, I think she is both real and a projection of Stevens mental image of her. What I find interesting is that I looked up when Steven first entered the room in the first season and the pink whale is roses voice, BEFORE Steven even knew or could project what her voice sounded like. That was before he saw the videotape of her. So... it's hard to completely tell so I say it's more in the middle, real but not totally either.

In the video, you forgot a piece of evidence, Idk what side of the argument this is pointing to but here it is XD: In the Episode "An Indirect Kiss", before Steven comes up out of the pool of tears in Rose's Fountain. He sees a Silohette of The Rose Quartz statue reaching down to him, to pull him out of the water. Then when he comes up, the statue is still and untouched like it was before Pearl and Garnet unclogged the Fountain.

It was her room so she clearly has a connection to it bottled emotions allowed her to bridge some gap and made the room do what SHE wanted plus what Steven wanted, an actual interaction between him and rose.So she was present in this end so I think when in the ROM,emotional, and mutually wanted the room can cause an honest interaction between Steven and his mother Rose Quartz!

Has anyone ever covered the theory that Steven never left Rose's room after the first episode in the room?

My idea is that Rose was fake the entire time, but the room is operating off Steven's desires. At first, Steven just wants to be with his mother, so the room makes a representation of her for him. He just wants to spend time with her, so Rose does all the things he wants. It's not until he is reminded that she's fake and starts unloading his stress that he REALLY wants to have a serious discussion with Rose. So the room, in response to this, edits cloud-Rose (the storm is a representation of the change) to be as realistic a fake as possible, perhaps because the room as a sort of conciousness and can remember when Rose used it, what she was actually like. Cloud Rose at the end of the episode was still fake, but she was a really good representation of Rose. I think she said what the real Rose would have said if she could be there.

Near as I can tell, the temple rooms are dedicated to the individual gems. If the room manifests Rose (assuming the manifestation doesn't come from his mind) I imagine it would be as close an approximation as possible. Even the storm could be a manifestation of not so much Steven's frustration but her's. Rose was most likely genuinely bothered by the decisions she would have had to make and the room may pick up on such sentiments. Either way she wasn't really there, I'd say. Just a semi-accurate portrayal. Take for instance Sardonyx' room. It only exists because she is there and it reacts to her will only when she occupies it. This could easily be a way for the memories and information in Steven's/Rose's gem to manifest so in a sense, yeah, Rose was there . . . as an interactive memory projection of sorts? I dunno, there are number of ways to look at this and I would bet this is as close to a living rose as we are gonna get. I like to think of the room as a projector and the gem as some kind of lens that changes the way the room looks.

The thing about it being rose there at the end I think is honestly more beautiful but even if it was fake the whole time at least Steven got to physically see the how big she was or other non important details that if I was Steven I would be curious about like idk lol bad with words

I just think this episode explored all of Steven's feelings towards Rose, the first part was Steven's desire to just hang with her like children normally do with their mothers, having no worry, the second part is all of Steven's insecurities towards what he initially perceived Rose as, he saw her as the first part (a good person and mother) but then the doubts started, and this second part is that. The third part however, it represents Steven's denial of those feelings of doubt to me. It's basically his inner turmoil. He wants his mother to just be good and saw her as such, but he feels doubts, and his internal monologue basically goes "but remember what the tape said! do you think she lied?". Steven was projecting this whole train of thoughts throughout the episode, through Rose. So in the end I think this isn't the last of it, if anything he just repressed the doubts further. But they will just keep stabbing him in the heart if he doesn't actually face them.

Rose is a spirit in a room

It could be Rose communicating to Steven through his gem at some point and the rest is his own thoughts of his mother

I don't think it was THE Rose, like it was still made out of clouds but I think that she really did act like that. because it used to be her room, so the room probably knows how she acts.

As a Stevonnie shipper I felt very intimidated that Steven was blushing the whole time "Rose" was there. But then again, I got my 'hating the heros you thought you loved' moment today, so I'm all good

I think the rose in the room wasn't the real (or at least the full) rose quartz but wasn't Steven's ideal rose either. my theory is that that rose was rose quartz idealized version of herself. It was a combination of the room's memory of rose as well as what the rose in steven's gem wanted to be and/or thought she was.

It is entirely possible that toward the end we saw the 'real rose' as the real rose is actually in the room, just attached to steven, we know that gems are at least some what conscious in gem form as amethyst wouldn't be able to willingly rush her re-formation after being poofed otherwise, so it is totally possible that the room acted on the will of rose quartz as she was in gem form, giving rose control of the construct to allow her to say what she wanted. This also brings up another question, who was in control of the cloud connie? Steven's final order to her was 'not to do what he wanted' so why did it force him to tell connie about his secret feelings about the book. Rose could have been controlling it then, and doing her best in an effort to parent steven, that or the room has it's own sentience

but remember the room makes what Steven WANTS even if he doesn't know at the moment that's what he wants and when he said "Connie, I wanna see you!" he just wants to see connies oitfit but the room makes a fake Connie that looks like connie

but didn't they mention in the show that the rooms are connected to the gems? so it could be possible since everything in the room is powered or somehow linked to the gem's powers rose's personality was projected in the cloud room because steven wanted it to

I personally think that Rose was always in the room, maybe she is the room. But, I also think she was communicating with him through the room and is actually only the second way they could chat.

could there be a possibility that when rose was still there she could have wished for the room to relay certian messages from her to her son or to help guid him along when he askes the room to see her

I believe she was very real and there because of how the room works.

i kinda always thought she was half real in the room since it has her memories and even comforted steven at the end but i also see her as like. a cheap knockoff one. plus she looks baked as hell in the episode

I think the Rose doing what Steven wanted was Steven's creation, but when Steven doubted her, from her gem, (which stayed the same, just was contained in Steven) Rose imagined what she herself was really like and made that fake image of Rose talk to Steven based on what the real Rose would say.

but remember when the whale from "Rose's Room" said in Rose's voice "What do you want, Steven?"

Just a headcanon, but you know how Rose is part of Steven? In his songs, on more sentimental parts, his voice seems to get higher in pitch. Although this is just a coincidence, I like to believe that it's Rose singing through Steven.

The room is implied to take the information from Steven's mind to build whatever he wants. So if Rose is still buried deep in Steven's subconscious, which many people still believe, it is 100% possible for it to have been really Rose, pulled out from Steven's mind itself. I personally believe that it was all fake, though.

Clearly the room has some kind of AI that can look though steven's mind and recreate what he wants; also the room probably has it's own memory and it combined that with what Steven imagined rose to be and the result was a pretty realistic replica. However the room doesn't know what rose would feel about sports or video games so it made an guess at what she might have thought. On the other hand the room does know about the tape and it knows how rose really felt about steven so it didn't need to do guesswork; as a result we get the closest we'll ever get to the actual rose.

Even though Rose isn't "dead" in the human sense of the word, her giving up her phisical form and "only living on in Steven" is pretty much a metaphor for death. Having a protagonist who lost his mother but still having her present in his mind is a great way to tell children about death and grief. I don't think the Rose in the room was real. That would send the wrong message about death. Children watching would start to believe late loved ones could really come back to them.
