I actually had an idea for a new series called "Steven Universe: Eyes of Rose" That would focus fully on the gem war, the creation/lore of diamonds, the entirety of Era 1, and all the things Rose did in the past. This would also allow us to get to see more fusions! Like Smoky Quartz 1.0, and Sunstone 1.0! Imagine how different they would look, and how much stronger they would be!

Not gonna lie i still remember hearing about the "new crystal gem" on the CN Twitter and getting so hype, how disappointed I was when i saw it was a Ronaldo episode

For a Steven Universe revival, there can be only one villain: The Sneople.

Maybe we should make a petition to let Cartoon Network know that we all want another season of Steven Universe. I am dying to know more about the origin of gems. There is so much lore and plot potential there.

A human agent secretly trying to create human-gem hybrids is definitely intriguing idea. As for other aliens, just give me Sneaple (preferably as the Gem’s creators) and cat-like aliens reminisce of Cookie Cat and I’ll be a happy camper.

Things I would love for Steven universe. 1. A spin off series with either Connie, Lars or perhaps spinel as the lead character going on their own adventure. 2. A Steven universe arc where Steven discovers that there are other gem/human hybrids like him but hidden. 3. A origin story of gem history and the creator of the diamonds. 4. A arc about their more diamonds out there like a black diamond. 5. A male gem variant of gems like coal or iron.

Here's an idea: synthetic gems. A government agency, after somehow being able to capture some gems, experimented on them to see how they're made, and then finding some way to synthetically create "gem" entities who serve them.

I remember when I had a theory that Pink Lion was a secret experiment (more secret than the cluster) that involved fusing animals with remains of broken gems in order to create cheap soldiers without wasting gems. and that we would even see Steven discovering more "gem animals" in other places in the world even believing that they were at war against the Cristal gems

If Steven Universe did come back, I want Steven to have to deal with the Human Government, Rogue Gems, and Other Vengeful Aliens.

To add to the diamond origin story, they could kick the arc off with Steven meeting his Demayo grandparents, and then something about that meeting gets him thinking about his OTHER grandparentts

The fact that Steven Universe still has a fan base without a new episode in the series in years is wild to me, I never knew something with no news or announcements for a new season since Future ended could still be popular

I would love it if the new Steven Universe focused on the theme of mommy/daddy/parent/authority issues cuz it would allow us to explore things like Greg's parents, Steven's thoughts and feelings on his mom, some of the homeworld gems disapproving of the diamonds' decision to change the status quo, and maybe even focus on what the diamonds think of their own creators, if said creators are even still alive.

a human villain could be a good idea Perhaps a scientist who has experimented with corrupted gems and explored ancient gem constructions believes that CristalGems are dangerous and is waiting for the right moment to make the discovery public(after Steven is captured).

Rebecca said that she knows what Steven and the gems get up to after future, but that she was wanting to give them the privacy they deserve

To piggyback off your “jasper faces off with human protestors” idea, I had a terrible thought that’d make the situation worse bc we know damn well she’d refer to Steven as “my Diamond” during the incident either out of loyalty or bc she simply wants another war so she has a purpose again.

Something that I saw being thrown around way back in the day was the concept of a totally new race of aliens which were the opposite of the Gems, being a race made of different metals that are exclusively masculine, although some of which exuding more feminine qualities just like how the Gems are all feminine with some having masculine qualities. I think it could be a really interesting idea, but it would be a lot to cover in one season or movie

I wish we actually got a bloodstone in the show and if that gem was real what part of the hierarchy would it have been. What would its personality be, what would its weapon be etc. Instead we got an episode no one wanted.

Well, giving how WBD is so desperate to revive old shows, i wouldn't be surprised if they actually brought this one back as well

I think the "Hasn't Steven had enough?" point is less about the show's longevity and more about Steven himself. The new series is inevitably going to have drama, and drama means trauma, and Steven already has more than enough trauma.

Bloodstone is actually chalcedony, like onyx, but it's also known by another name: Blood jasper. I like that story of Rhodonite's origin. It reminds me of Hawkman, in a way. A romance across multiple lifetimes.

It'd be nice if they actually did something cool with Ronaldo instead of just having him be the worst townie (in my opinion).

You know it would be an interesting concept to see if someone would try to replicate what Steven is: a hybrid between a Human and a Gem.

I think they should focus more on the Gem stuff, and not continue Steven. His story wrapped up, and there's a bunch more we can see than just Steven. We can see Steven every now and then, just not every time like what they've been doing.

I used to be one of those people who thought there was enough SU content and fans should be satisfied with everything they already got. Then I sat and watched the entirety of the series for the first time including the movie (haven't gotten to Future just yet but I plan to) and I get it now. All of these characters are so lovable and fun and now I want more of them too.

I got my lil' cousins into Steven Universe. They LOVED IT. They BAWLED when I told them there was no more. If they were to bring back Steven Universe... those little girls would buy so many fucking toys. You should see them with Pokemon. You show them an Amethyst figurine, and they lose their marbles. You give them a GARNET? Their brains would explode. They're constantly trying to steal my SU football jacket. And it's funny, because aside from the songs, it's the 'scarier' episode that they replay, over and over. Or the Seance scene from Ducktales--The first time they watched it, they were scared-- but intrigued! So they went back. And they watched it again. And then again. And then, again. And slowly, they began to see something about THEMSELVES in those scenes, and in the characters in those moments. And then the next time they encountered something scary? It wasn't quite so bad. They were able to handle and process it a little better. Completely shielding kids from fear doesn't help them at all. They NEED to understand it, understand it's a part of them and a part of human nature-- and learn to overcome it. Cartoons are an AMAZINGLY safe way for them to experience that!

Hopefully Rebecca Sugar and others who worked on Steven Universe come across this video because these are great ideas!

Even just that thumbnail got me hyped. There's so many more gems that could be characters, or even just new aliens. Older and stronger Steven, older Connie, more adventures can be had. Same with regular Show which I'm super excited for.

I love the human or government group as the main antagonist concept as they dealt with corrupted gems and diamonds themselves, but we haven't worked with stevens human side yet so taking things back to earth can be a really good way to set the darker tone. And I want the idea of forced human gem fusion as that idea is so twisted and builds off what the gem shard fusions had

I could see a story arc for a Steven Universe sequel, where the government capture a gem, and brainwash them into a type of assassin, winter soldier style

But I really loved "Steven Universe the Movie" so proudly ever

What if the Government studied not the Gems but Lars or Lion? They see that when organic beings are revived by Steven they become stronger and gain their own powers; they could seek to capture Steven and use him to create some kind of super soldiers of their own or use his healing powers to constantly heal their troops. Or as Steven travels the world and heals people of their illnesses or disabilities, people start to worship him as a deity just as Gems do, even bringing their deceased loved for him to revive and it starts to get too much for him or something.

PLEASE I NEED MOREEEEE 🙏🙏😭

I have a few ideas: 1. Steven-oriented continuation series. With the end of Future, Steven left the gems and Beach City as a whole. We could follow his journey as he attempts to integrate into ordinary human life despite being half gem himself. Perhaps any leftover gem related problems he had could still find their way to him, and he has to figure out how to deal with it without harming a more peaceful, human community. 2. Little Homeworld focused series that centers around Peridot, Lapis, and Bismuth. If I recall correctly, there was talk of a Lapis and Peridot spinoff a couple years ago, so why not have this be their primary focus? There would be a plethora of relatively new characters to interact with and get attached to, more Homeworld gems could be coming in which attracts Homeworld’s attention, and ultimately the new crystal gems has to deal with the ins and outs of establishing their own society. 3. Diamond prequel series (as mentioned in the video). Focusing on the four diamonds as they were created, it would focus on the diamonds understanding their own powers and the world around them. Perhaps they get into trouble with other, more advanced alien species, which prompts them to focus on their more destructive capabilities for the sake of survival. It would also allow for the exploration of Homeworld’s creation, how they became a colonial power, and the establishment of the Diamond Authority. 3.5: Diamond sequel series. We instead focus on the diamonds (and Spinel) as they try to maintain Homeworld in Era 3. Some gems might renounce Era 3, wishing instead that things would return to the way Era 2 was. This might spark revolutions unheard of in Homeworld. All the while, Spinel could try fill Pink Diamond’s role, which presents problems both comical and dangerous. 4. Lars and the Off-Colors. Idk I just want to see more of them. Emerald seems like a great villain, plus there’s the limitless potential of exploring alien worlds.

I think with Ronaldo "wanting a redo", maybe instead of just being mildly annoyed, that could lead to someone knocking some sense into him for being so ridiculous about his obsession

I really much love all of these ideas, Heck, some of these ideas are ones i’ve had for Years now, so if we ever do get a continuation, I really hope go in any of these directions, I also hope we get Spin-offs that goes beyond the Steven Perspective too, just so we get more closer to other Characters too, I guess we just have to wait and see.

I've always wondered how Pink Diamond figured out how to make Steven. Perhaps there was researcher who discovered how to do human gem hybrids. Wouldn't be surprised if this hypothetical gem also did the research on the massive shard cluster in the Earth's crust. Who did that? Where did they do their messed up research? What other sick experiments could they get into after no longer being corrupted? Like forced gem human hybrids...

I always wanted to see more of the diamonds. I hope they do that.

20,000 years ago when gems came into existence, they wiped out an existing race called The metals of the male persuasion and what you find scattered throughout the Universe. Iron, copper, tin, coal, gold, silver different things are actually corpses from this huge war. The metals were banished to a different reality. They somehow escape that reality coming back to Stevens. It turns out bismuth is actually a descendant of a metal and a gem.

i personally would like a new show to focus on a potential Gem civil war, where those who lost status and power like Aquamarine and Eyeball (Ruby) form their own Gem Rebellion to bring the old ways back, they kind of teased it with Aquamarine, there probs a lot of gems who hate era 3 especially the Elite Gems, but that's my opinion

Also needed: - Backstory from "our" Pearl - Backstory White Diamond and Pink Diamond - Flashbacks Pink Diamond vs Crystal gems - More context about the Diamond arc - Fixing shattered gems / cluster - Lars' powers - Some more fusions (Lapidot, Stars, Diamonds perhaps) Don't take the mystery from the Diamonds origin. It will make things lame, just like aliens ripped off from the gems, like plant based.

I created a spin-off in my head that involves Steven and Connie’s daughter, who I named Samhita “Sammy” Maheswaren-Universe. she was born human (no gem) and everyone believes she doesn’t have gem powers, but like her dad when he was younger she desperately wants to be a Chrystal Gem. (also I just found out Samhita means “put together, joined, union, who wants good for everyone.” I got the name from a kid I worked with years ago and love the name, plus “Sammy Universe” has a nice ring to it, but it actually turned out to be a perfect name for a gem/human hybrid and Steven’s child!)

I thinking about how powerful Steven could potentially be as he gets older. Like, idk, let him have full control over plant-life and/or sprout wings like Shadow the Hedgehog in the upcoming Sonic Generations remake, heck, give him the Eda Owl Lady treatment and give him a half beast form or some sh*t. I always thought corruption itself was a neat topic, but I don't think Rebecca Sugar really got to explore the horrific implications of this in a way that she might've wanted. Gems, to me, seem to be like a race of ultra-advanced robots, so corruption itself seems like a breakdown of their "code" so to speak. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking too hard, but corruption COULD be much more complex and nuanced than just "people become insane and animalistic" in the literal sense. Who's to say that gems don't have any other faults in their code? Like you said before, Rebecca Sugar's previous work is rather horrific, so imagine the possible horrors that partial corruption or self-inflicted corruption (without outside influence like fusion or the diamonds) could have! Or maybe there are other kinds of corruption out there! Steven Universe is a show that constantly says no one is perfect. Therefore, gemkind cannot just be perfect machines that have no flaws in their programming. Then again, maybe I'm just thinking too hard :P

I hope that SU revival can happen even when CN Studios was shut down. Fionna and Cake happened so there is a possibility.

Just like what's said in this video, I had an idea a while ago of an AU where gems experimented on humans, probably from the human zoo, to turn them into half gem/human hybrids, like Steven. But since this was forcibly done to them, they became Eldritch horrors, forever in pain and nothing like Steven at all. And the survivors vow revenge on all of gem kind. Going around the galaxy destroying any gem they can find, regardless of their guilt. Though, if the next series had the earth government be the villains, then I guess the narrative would make them be the ones to try to turn earth humans into experiments, and then those victims would just turn against humanity, or maybe both humans and gems.

for the shadowy government thing you talked about, I think the way you imagined it is a little overdone/a little too simple. The way I would do it is have the agency start out as either an ally, or just a neutral party, with the secret agent person even contacting Steven directly to establish friendly connections between the earth government and homeworld, for trading information on technology and culture. But as the series goes on, more hostile and intolerant ideals start to move into power at the agency, looking to instead conquer and control the gems, thus bringing in the other stuff you mentioned. IMO, it'd be better having a slow burn seeing how good people with genuine intentions can be corrupted into monsters, here in a more metaphorical sense rather than the literal one seen with the gems' corruption.

If Steven Universe ever got another season, I expect to hear the sound of Lily Orchard imploding like a volcano all the way down here in the Deep South. 😂

I just rewatched the whole series with my 5 year old cousin and she absolutely loved it. I think bringing the series back would be smart on their part.

They could event ask fans for some ideas of what could possibly be added, even fan made arts people made could be used in the new show (if they make it) and like you said, limitless ideas, plans, lore, darkness, depressed scenes and tons more. wouldn't first time a show series used fans ideas or art for the show. like for example power rangers, some of the zords design and ideas came from fans making there own versions before sending it to the creator or something like that. this just popped in my head :3🙃

A lars of the stars spin off that functions like AT:FAC would be amazing, hoping from planet to planet, maybe even a B plot that follows Steven having a lower stakes side adventure going to different stops on his way to meet connie that concludes with them both rushing to help lars via lion. Idk i just hope whatever they do isn’t fixed to Steven’s pov, we already had 6 seasons and a movie of that

I would love to see a spin off show of the diamonds, interacting with humans falling in love, and eventually having their own kids it would be really fun to see Steven talking about love with the diamonds

I honestly wanna see a Spin off "Lars of The Stars" Series focusing more on Lars and the Offcolors

One thing i would love for them to have an episode about is "real" gems. Like, we dig them up from the ground and make jewelry and stuff, and since Ronaldo knew of the gem bloodstone it confirms that thats the case in the SU universe. Seeing White utterly petrified upon seeing a diamond engagement ring, or Pearl mortofied at someone's neclace would be an interesing episode taking a deep dive into psychological horror rather than body horror, tho it could be both, couse what if the gems humans dig up are leftovers after the war, or maybe premature gems that didn't get get comoleted enough to emerge? Theres so much they could do with this

There are many possibilities for the continuation of Steven Universe, for example, it could introduce new antagonists in the form of the creators of the Diamonds, and the entire Gem race, who would be unhappy with the fact that the Gems no longer serve their purpose.

If Rebecca Sugar is going to continue the series after SUF, there are a few things I hope to see. One of these is that Steven discovers that he is NOT the only human/gem hybrid on Earth.
