I get what Ryan Johnson was trying to do, but I thought the story was ridiculous. He had a chance, with the whole Star Wars universe at his disposal, to make the greatest Star Wars movie. But he failed. I didn’t hate it, but I wasn’t a fan either.

They did the worst trilogy sequels possible but not all is lost. We have The Mandalorian, we have Clone Wars and expect news series and movies. SW sank very low but Disney maybe learn about their mistakes....

@@CarlosMorenoTM 99% chances they will tie up the Mando with the sequels so, I didn't watch it. And I don't like animated series, I consider myself lucky to have seen Rogue One. That's the only true gift they can ever make.

@@TheZeek34 right, certainly, they'll do it but what I saw there was more Star Wars in the serie than in all the trilogy of sequel together. Favreau did a great job and in spite of knowing where can finish the serie it deserves to watch it. Answering the matter of the animated series, I started watching the serie when I was a child. The serie has evolved together with the fans and it has turned more dark and complicated and it has become in more than a simple animated serie but I understand you don't like the animated series. Finally, (I don't want to expand on this too xD) I'd like to tell you I'm agree with you regarding Rogue One, it's really a gift for us :)

@@JustWasted3HoursHere I didn't hate TLJ as others but yes if it wasn't so hated, it probably would've done much better. Same for TROS. The movies had so much potential and then squandered it.

@@TIG5574 I definitely felt it made some really poor choices. Rian totally underestimated how revered Luke Skywalker is, and treating him so poorly in the story did not do Rian any favors. Even Mark Hamill, who never has a bad word to say about anyone in the film business felt that Rian's ideas for Luke were wrong. Plus, things like the "Leia Poppins" scene and too much shlapstick comedy in there were just too much for a lot of people. Then RoS had to come in and try to right the ship again. It had mistakes if its own, but I definitely feel that if one person had at least written all three it would have turned out far better.

It would've been OK if they were building that up from this movie and not just throw it in in the shitty and ham fisted way it was in ROS.
