Since I loved and admired Tom Petty, I was not expecting Stevie Nicks to do a good cover. I was wrong! She did a great cover! 💓

I love her "phraseology" the way she she punches words she wants the listener to recognize. ...all the BAD boys are standing in the SHADOWS...and the GOOD GIRLS...are HOME with BROKEN hearts...

Absolutely hauntingly beautiful. There will never be another Stevie Nicks.

Have always loved Stevie's version (along with TP’s), it's absolutely magical. Only the Honorary Heartbreaker herself could be handed such a classic and be trusted not to muck it up! :)

Truly a gem , seen this beautiful lady 5 times , and the music melts the heart , A treasure indeed

If we're counting solo shows and Fleetwood Mac performnces, I've seen her 8 times now. I'm getting to that age (60) where I just can't stand up through a show anymore due to health issues, otherwise I'd continue going to her shows. I thought she also rocked it in AHS.

You're absolutely right. Never thought about that. The song is about a heartbreaking relationship so it would have fit perfectly....

Stevie does a true tribute to Tom on this. She changed nothing.kept the same tempo as a tribute should always be. She is not better than Tom...She IS just as good though. She covered this with respect and only added her own blend of eloquence. Nothing else. Hail Stevie on this one!

Yes, would be nice if Stevie would let let him rest in peace aswell! Their friendship was more from her side than his. She forced herself on him. Many times, he was fed up hearing her whining about Joe Walsh.

Love this version way more!!! Bittersweet memories about my ex. He was a good boy at home with a broken heart and I was just a bad boy hanging in the shadows. But now I'm free!! Only difference is he wasn't crazy about Elvis. He was crazy about Stevie!!

No matter how good or bad of a day I had I listen to this. I find there is something so healing in her voice on this song. Stevie's voice is also nurturing. Will always love this song and love her version of it.

If you love this you guys should look at the 2006 live version of "INSIDER" that her and TOM did at his concert. Dare the tears not to fall.
My wife saw her and Billy Joel in Nashville in May. She did a great job on this. There's no way that she looks or sounds like a 75 year old woman!

I love Stevie Nicks! I love her voice and her lyrics! I saw her twice with FM! I have the enchanted box and her last 3 CD's! My husband thinks she's the most beautifull rockstar and he's right! But sometimes we call her (with lots of love AND HUMOR) " Our lovely goat"! I really think Gabriel R who wrote "The best goat I've ever heard" with humor and respect with our queen of rock!
