The only real artist in our era in the past 10 years is doja. But she doesn’t SING like our GREATS.. wifh Instagram pages for black artists AKA the shhh room.. who only posts content that will stir negative comments, racial divide and bullies.. Artist will never be seen as they once were. I’m just hoping these tiktok one hit wonders and the trend will die off soon

In life there are times when we pause and reflex on our morality, the passing of Aretha Franklin we find ourselves reminiscing of past days. I remember the first time I heard one of her songs. I knew even as a child there was something special about the way she sings. Everybody has that one special song by her, my favorite song is "Until you come back to Me". This song should be remastered to bring out the instruments better and given a better dynamic range utilizing todays digital audio technology, because this song is a Master Piece of her virtuoso skills as a singer. This song is about the trepidations of falling in love, being humble, ones pride and redemption. listen to the piano at the beginning, it's dialing a phone call from her heart, the flute melodies float into your ears like rain drops from heaven, as a electric Hammond organ plays small delightful riffs like a kiss on the cheek as several violins play softly as if they were a breath of fresh air, coming out of a suffocating relationship. The tambourine and a hollow percussion wood block knock at the door of ones life, not to take for granted people that love and care for you. These lyrics are a metaphor of the windows and doors of our lives that we choose to close or open. Now that I am older and a little wiser, I now realize what I heard as a child that I could not explain. Aretha's voice is Angelic, her voice has a Spiritual Resonance. When you hear her voice it penetrates to your very soul, touching that sixth sense we call Faith. Aretha Franklin has a Special Gift from God that she shared with all of Us. Praise to the "Queen of Soul" may You Rest in Peace. For her body has died, Her Majestic Voice and Heavenly Spirit Will Forever Be Eternal... Wooooooow! Had to post it here as well, this is what I am talking about with Dynamic Range.

Funny, strange and awesome how after all these years have passed i realize even more how great a song is and were and how it was a big part of where I was, who I was and how far I have come. I love music, still play music and have kept up with the new artist/new songs throughout the years and appreciate what they bring and what was created in each generation, but watching something like this I do feel biased and even prejudice to say that the music that was part of my young past and journey will always be more special and meaningful but also very nostalgic and sad at the same time. It also brings up the what if’s…the good and bad🤔

I'm just an old, amateur piano player from NC. I was in 4th grade when this single came out. Wherever I was, whatever I was doing, when this came on the radio I had to stop and close my eyes and listen with all my heart, soul and mind. G. Duke, Little Stevie and Her Royal Majesty, Queen Aretha; transport of joy.

I'm really glad Aretha got so many awards and recognition while she was alive. I was 12 when Respect came out and the I never loved a man album and people let me tell you, In the hood back then that's all you heard each and every day for the longest. And of course Stevie too.

I remember when I was a nobody little blues singer in 1975 in Dallas and had the pleasure of meeting George Duke. What a kind man! He did the best Groucho Marx impersonation I ever saw! he was there at the club where he played with Billy Cobham. Those days were so easy to meet people without having to break through security.
