See for me it's the opposite. Em drops 3x as many bars in this song but its almost neck and neck for me cause I like waynes bars+ delivery. Ems delivery doesn't make me feel anything. Hes the anti-Tupac. Tupac had simple bars with simple rhyme schemes most the time. Em is the opposite every line is some kinda wordplay and crazy rhyme scheme. But Tupacs delivery makes me feel every word he says and he was a gret story teller with his simple rhymes. Different tastes though i guess, but for me Ems voice and delivery the only thing stopping him from being number one. He doesn't have the same command and power in his delivery as a Tupac, DMX, Rakim etc or the ssme smoothness as a Andre 3000, Bone thugs,Snoop, Wayne etc.. for me atleast. I'm sure plenty of people here his flow and are moved

At this time, people was so fucking high on Lil'Wayne ( atleast in Sweden ) and put him on the top of the rapgame , and that was something I could never, ever , agree with... Yeah I never liked Wayne more bcuz I can't take his voice and his constant crack head lazy way of speaking.. So the only Wayne song I liked was mirror bcuz he goes a bit personal n opens up but brunos voice saves it more in the chorus.. But now I get it.. He's a good lyricist and paint words poetically just how he did it here.. But his delivery n voice tone annoys me.. Bro I feel you when when it comes to your favorite rapper. It's so hard to admit defeat. But literally it's just different in regards to Eminem. He checks off every single category when it comes to his rhymes. He gives you the Barzzz, the metaphors the double and triples, he's scheming, his cadence and flow switches. An the best thing he does when he's constructing his versus he says things in a different way that's never been said before. That whole first Lil Wayne verse that you were talking about was sick. But those sayings have been said a million trillion times before Lil Wayne said them. EM would have totally switched up how he said it to get exactly what Lil Wayne was saying, but nobody would have said them in that way before. And I think if everybody is being honest they know this.
@VENOM-cj1nd4 жыл бұрын

usernameisunecessarily longyouprobablyreadallofthis yea but nobody can do internal rhyme schemes and hit that syllable game better than Eminem. I think that is his biggest strength because he can take things that don’t rhyme at all and make them work. He just knows how to perfectly jump in and out of the pocket and where most rappers do X on a particular beat he does Y that nobody else would think of or attempt. Both dudes are top 10, just two very different styles so honestly it’s not really possible to compare them. They are both great and extremely talented in their own way. The OP was just saying that Eminem’s mind creates more unique references and analogies. The first one that popped in my head was off the new track with kid kudi “I’m not high but I’m your highness” Most def nobody has said it like that before. There are tons of good examples in that verse.

That last scheme is just insane, with each part flowing into the next as far as references go. run circles around to make your head spin ---- self explanatory split your cabbage and your lettuce and olives ---- lettuce and cabbage both come in heads, and in cooking both they and olives are 'split' when they're cut or pulled apart

Both verses were phenomenal. IMO Wayne wins that one. I love both artist though. I feel like Wayne was just smooth n made the song. My opinion.

@@OfficerDva444 Actually, me too. He's got a nice flow and soothes the heart. I also LOVE the "my bars are full of broken bottles and my night-stands are full of open bibles"-line. Just sticks to me much more than Eminem's angry lines. I love them both in the song together, but I would hands-down give that one to Lil Wayne. He also has such a great voice. Em - I love him, but his rap-voice sometimes makes me feel like I'm being attacked

Just came back to revisit this song, and found your channel. Your energy is matching mine right now. The different texture between these two artists gets me hype.... I feel stronger. The cadence spikes aggression... And lyrics really lays into my emotions. It's like how Rocky Balboa feels running up those stairs. It's the under dog anthem. And the last verse, when Lil Wayne picks up right where em stops..... Probably my favorite part of the whole song

I try not to be biased cause of my skin, but i knew since the first time i heard him rhyme, he would kill their chimes everytime, hes to smooth fast and cleverish, he just makes all rappers his bored to switch, he kills with cadance and versus 2, their all his stans: simple truth. Peace out...
