Thanks for the reply! This one is a little dated, but still very helpful. We have some newer ones, so be sure to check those out in our "Latest Videos" playlist. A few things have changed regarding the mixing instructions. Be sure to check the manual or latest video. You can download the manual on our website under the "Library" menu.

Sounds great for professionals with really high end booth building a Kit plane probably not going to work never get home paint booth clean enough.

Will any glazing putty work with your system? Or is a special glazing putty needed for the waterborne products?

We normally use Poly Fiber Super Fill for fiberglass work. It is very light and sands nice. Then use EkoPrime or EkoPoxy to finish it out ready for paint.

orange peel or runs happens, i use to work with getglow and acryo glow from sherwin williams aircraft paint

Orange peel and runs are a result of technique and/or equipment. Runs are usually from over thinning. Technique can certainly cause them as well though. Orange peel can be a variety of issue, but the most common is using a low quality paint gun, not setting it up correctly, or not using enough air. Having an air compressor that can't keep up is another common cause. One other thing people fail to consider, if there is texture on the base coat, the paint will follow it. Make sure the primer layer is sanded good and flat. Lastly, make sure your technique is correct. Applying to heavy on the fog coats or with viscosity too thin can set up orange peel. But done properly our finish is glass smooth and a deep gloss. If you have questions, we are always here to help! Just call or email.
