Man, I thought for sure Ryan was going to end up in his skivvies swimming for a buck. Great job on the cast master! I imagine this hunt was more memorable than some of your others being your daughter was on it with you. What an awesome bonding experience for the two of you to share with each other.

My favorite quote is, it’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves…. my whole life I have dreamed of hunting western big game, I met my wife, and she was like, do it, and the last two years I’ve been grinding and tearing up my body. Ugh, I’m not getting younger. Last year I finally saw mule deer and elk, chased the herd across the mountain. It was fun and miserable at the same time, strange how that works. When I was on the mountain, I thought to myself, if I die right here, no one is coming, just keep moving, one step at a time. When I was done, I was so drained, like nothing I’ve experienced. But I can’t wait to go again, I’m going to conquer myself and the mountain, one step at a time, just don’t stop…. Love the videos, stay motivated.

Great video!! I've been listening to the Northern Hunter podcast, and that is how I landed on your channel. I really enjoy watching and supporting real hunters. The best stories in life come from spending time with family and friends in the outdoors. 3 bucks in 30 minutes and fishing a buck from a lake are memories you'll never forget and stories you'll never stop telling. Keep up the great work, and God bless.

Exactly the awesome Blacktail action we were expecting. A lot of people say that blacktail is the "crap" deer. That they don't taste good or that they are inferior to Mule or Whitetail. That is far from the truth. I'd have to say that blacktail have one of the most beautiful hides and I'm a sucker for the character of each individual deer. Sitka or Columbian What an adventure with your daughter. Plus a lot of great grass-fed meat. I love the fact your producing your own material and videos. Ryan and Chiam, Great video!

Loved this Father Daughter film again and what incredible luck with weather and the scenery is amazing. I have a lot of friends that ask if I caught a deer or elk when I go hunting and now you can both claim that first buck! Way cool to watch that play out and love how Dad was getting voluntered to swim if the fishing attempt failed!

Big high five to you and your daughter and everyone on this trip. What a memory. The lesson of “putting in the hard work, pays off” really comes through in this film. Who can say they had to break out the fishing gear to hunt a deer? Probably can count them on one hand for sure. And to get it in the lip🤷🏽‍♂️. When the good Lord shined on you he gave you 💯. Love the Northern Hunter guys/gals. Hunting will always bring together the right people to have a great time and learn regardless of the outcome. Great film Kiam!

You know how I know Dalton isn't messing around? The thermometer keychain. I've come to expect a thermometer keychain in my Christmas stocking. It comes in handy early morning and afternoon to check thermals and I just like knowing the temperature. If it wasn't for the swimming/fishing lesson, the thermometer keychain would be my favorite part of the film.

When that deer ran into water and u grabbed ur fishing rod and said if this don't work then one of us swimming out there to get him. That's amazing and that's how it should be. You kill an animal you do it the respect of recovering it unless u just can't but u atleast try tell you run out of options. Good job brother

You sure make me excited to take my own daughter out someday! Grateful for the knowledge you pass along to all of us folks who are trying to learn on our own. It’s a steep learning curve and folks like you are indispensable!
