Mine doesn’t fully cover the tigger guard. Not a dealbreaker by any means but I feel like that shouldn’t be an issue considering the price tag. I just have a standard Savage .308 with a vortex scope. Nothing too bulky

True, my trigger guard isn’t fully covered either on my rifles. The scope and action were the priority and keeping debris/grit/water out of both whereas the trigger gaurd honestly doesnt really need the protection except for maybe getting scratched

@@StHealthyHunter yeah I’m definitely not too worried about it. I’ve already taken it out on a few scouting trips and all was well. It did its job and I have no real complaints

$50 would be a lot more tempting. Over $100 is hard for me justify

Hey Ryan, Do you keep your rifle in the tent with you at night? Or does it vary? Thanks
@StHealthyHunter

It varies, if going from cold temps to a hot tent then no, never. If not running a stove then yes generally I do

Paul is brilliant. He's the only caller I have ever listened to that makes sense because he understands what a bull is saying, and based on that what to say with your own calls and what strategy to use in that specific situation. He's the only one that seems to really understand the language of the elk based on different times and situations. What he describes seems to match what we are experiencing in the field. The slow play is an amazing tactic we have used several times to successfully bring bulls in when nothing else works. It makes sense because it is a whole strategy. Almost everyone else is pretty much just throwing sounds out there and hoping for the best.

The thumbnail put a huge smile on my face. My wife and I are expecting our first in December and I look forward to getting my little one out there too. Just discovered your channel and I'm super impressed with the family-friendliness of it. Your kids are gonna have some amazing memories. The info you provide here and on the other channels has really helped me learn how to hunt well.

I’m glad that you listened to my suggestion a while back about sharing some of these Western Hunting Summit videos for those of us who can’t make it. Even these 5 year old ones are gold. Brian is definitely one of my favorites and makes me want to climb those mountains 🏔️ to chase mule deer 🦌 etc…

Yes sir, I have used the slow play effectively. One bull was going to bed in morning and we got in pretty close before he was settled in and he charged straight at us ignoring the wind. A great shot provided a ton of excitement and meat for the freezer. Thanks again Paul!

Been pouring over your hunts for the last year, started with watching all the Gritty bear hunts. But now seeing this film tonight is what it is all about, and it tops it because your doing this with your daughters. You're the great American Dad on these hunts. Showing that your kids, girls or boys are loving these hunts, you come across as a pretty smart humble and patient guy. giving your children memories is priceless. keep up the greatness. Everyone has won, if they watched this video.

Thinking about ordering one for a specific pack I have. I also have a pack with a built in rifle scabbard but this gives me flexibility on pack choice. I hate these decisions lol

Incredible hunt Ryan & "P"! You all should be very proud of this accomplishment!, especially considering the conditions. Neither one of my sons hunt. I dream all the time of maybe someday having one of them on a hunt with me. You are very blessed that your daughter loves to share these experiences with you. She's quite a tough young lady! Congrats!!! 🦌

I know Ryan gets so many views for hunting stuff but it truly is a family channel. I myself have 3 daughters and my wife and I are super into removing the “trash” from our nutrition and our daily products. I’m learning to live a better life because of the channel. Hunting videos or health! Dr. H, can you throw together a bloodwork video on Ryan since his “carnivore diet”. Interested in your take. Or if you have any data?
