Anyone thinking we need to replace Dyche isn’t a blue. 3 strikers scored 4 goals between them all season. No fit full backs yesterday. He got 21 points from 16 games with a horrendously imbalanced squad. If he’d replaced Lampard a month or 2 earlier we’d of been safe weeks ago.

Dyche needs time to build his own squad, he came in during the last 24 hours of the transfer deadline day with nothing to work with other than the resources he already has. Let Dyche gather in his own players and judge him then.

Sean has been tremendous for us this season. He kept repeating the mental attitude changes in the players was uppermost in his mind. A major one being confidence drain when the opposition scores first heaping pressure on us. Leicester scored yesterday, miles away, and that could have easily destroyed Everton, the players knowing the situation. Sean fired them up, who then fought brilliantly for a deserved victory. Sean has some Burnley players he works well with. Tarks has been outstanding this season and McNeil has made great progression. We owe a great debt to Sean and he should be fully backed to take us forward. Thank you, Sean.

Dyche was dealt a terrible hand, not one of the players are his signing either. If Everton keep chopping and changing manager and having a Frankenstein squad of different managers players they will eventually go down. Let Dyche set a mentality in the club and build a team and back him properly. He’s performed miracles this season with a team with no striker and injuries/suspensions.

Dyche kept playing his old Burnley boys - three of them. He was playing Keane when Mina was fit. Fan and media pressure made him play Mina. The difference when Yerry Mina returned! He was also playing men out of position to dire consequences. It was not encouraging.

@@johnburns4017 Well Tarkowski is the only player in the league who has played every single minute for his club this season and been very good for Everton in tough times, mcneil started off poor but grew in confidence and has been instrumental in keeping us in the league. @@simondalzell5635 Villa didn't "find" him. A manager who has won 4 Europa Leagues and managed PSG to titles and cups is not some gem they unearthed. They were able to attract one of the top managers in the game with their project, which is stable, well-run and well-financed. Everton are absolutely comparable to Villa in size and stature, but are neither well-run nor, at this point, well-financed, so would have trouble attracting a manager of this calibre. I also can't think of another manager like Emery, with an impeccable record, lots of experience and just a tad below the absolute elite, who is available.

Dyche has had no transfer window, had to rely on Gray up front because Maupay is crap. His big mistake however was sticking Michael Keane at the back for 6 weeks. He fixed the mistake however could have been costly. We need to back him in the summer, it we can spend with the FFP stuff minimum 100 mil should be spent if possible. The club has the money so we need to spend a lot and of course on the right profiles. Dyche fulfilled his job description which was keep Everton in Premier League I see no reason to sack. He’s done his job. If we back him properly give him signings and he still can’t take Everton forward then maybe have the discussion but no he’s done his description without bringing a single player in

In the ten years since Moyes left we’ve had almost a manager a year (not including interim managers). Each one has bought and sold good and bad players, each one has had their own preferences and we have somehow managed to sell the better ones and hold onto the dross whilst building a huge squad of average players. We do not need yet another manager, we couldn’t attract star players even if we could afford them. We need to keep Dyche, let him steady the ship, build resilience from existing players and new, clear out the deadwood. Once we have a strong spine and we are in the red, we can start to look at players who can add value over what we have, but also work hard. This is Dyche’s time, give it to him.

They haven't got a 15 point deduction and are 15th in transfer money spent in last 5 yrs net total 135m. We've had strict transfers for last 2 years. We were the only prem team without a single signing in last window so nothing has changed at all from last 2 yrs, apart from having proper manager now finally.

Dear god, Martin here talking about us playing expansive football….has he seen who is in our team? If that lot open up they won’t score and will get smashed all over the place defensively. We have a back line that has no pace, there is no recovery there. We won’t be spending fortunes in the summer I don’t think, so he will need to add wisely to play to the strengths we have or we will be right back where we are now. You’ve seen what happens when we go 1 down, we have to come out and get slaughtered. Others may think different to me, but next season is about being solid and not getting ahead of ourselves. Let’s find a few goals, keep it tight and get away from the bottom 3 and then build on that.

If Everton go all expansive they go down like the Titanic against an in form City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa etc. Play to your strengths. Dyche is an experienced guy who knows a bit more about the squad than we do.

I wouldn’t say Brighton hammered Everton? Everton were sitting back defending a 3-0 heavy lead and Everton absorbed heavy pressure for 15 minutes but then Everton break and get another goal and then Brighton were down and out afterwards. After the fourth I was pretty relaxed. We just had to absorb some pressure and they weathered the storm perfectly. Brighton did not hammer Everton they just gave some very expected level of pressure for a few minutes and then they got roasted on the counter shortly after again

Icl, keown really exposed his idiocy ALL day today, from looking at it from a play-style point of view here as if Dyche can spend bags of money to change them & questioning whether he should stick around, to mentioning Thomas Tuchel "winning" the Bundesliga and questioning how silly Chelsea were, when the fact is Tuchel joined Bayern at the top of the league, and almost messed it up for them (even tho nagielsmann took them top) except Dortmund bottled the league and HANDED it to them. On Dyche, he kept Everton up with NO signings & one arguably huge player sale in January. He has the credentials for where Everton are at now, which is little to no money & they can't make more as they don't really have any sellable players like last summer and January, with the task of making Everton a more stable Premier League club on this budget and making a progression. He achieved it at Burnley with effectively a shoestring budget and he is more than capable to do so at Everton. They should give him the time.

Unless Everton replace a minimum of 5 players in their starting 11 relegation is nailed on next season and I won't be surprised if they finish bottom. It doesn't matter who the manager is. They could bring in Pep and Sir Alex as comanagers and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.
