Sticky Wicket. A very rare 1949 Carlton Combination drum set

26 күн бұрынThis is a very rare and yet iconic British drum set. It was Carlton's idea of a revolutionary new concept for the drum kit in the late 1940's which combined a bass drum, snare drum, tom tom and pedal tympani plus the usual cymbals woodblock and cowbells of the day but no hi-hat as you will see why. Needless to say it didn't quite catch on which is why these kits are so rare.
Anyway, find out all about it in this video and enjoy a little bit of Samba music from a 1950's recording of Edmundo Ross as his Orchestra accompanied by Sticky on this 'magical monster', ha!
