Welch herrliches Werk der Filmemachkunst. Dies ist noch ein Ort, frei von jeglicher Unzucht, und Egoismus. Wie stolz doch die Brüder einherschreiten. So voller frommer Würde. Da bekommt man ja richtig Lust auf das Klosterleben.

I had a glimpse into this type of life. Silence, work, prayer and singing.If you want to find Heaven on earth: This is where we humans will find it. All religious music comes from Scripture, and in The Holy Scripture comes the Word of God - God never makes mistakes. The biggest mistake is we humans who think we are grater than God.

That is what God wants and so is the desire of those who believe in Him, but it will bring unavoidable suffering because the wish of the meek and holy disturbs the wish of those who are wicked, vengeful, angry, and violent. This is why people throughout history who worked and prayed for the Truth of God have always been humiliated and killed mercilessly. Yet those in Heaven must be in greater peace than those who rage on this Earth.

It never ceases t amaze me how some people can go through life with out faith devotion and belief in God. This music reinforces the existence of a higher perpetual plane, truly music for the soul! Only the presence of God could inspire such wonder.

Das sehe ich genau so. Der Gesang wird ja noch nicht mal mit Music unterlegt. Einfach nur der Chorgesang der Zisterzinser-Mönche. (Übrigens einer der reichsten Mönchsorden auf der Welt!)

I had the good fortune to go to secondary school in Ireland in the 1950s when Latin - as well as English and Irish - was a compulsory subject. It was also the only language then permitted in the liturgy of the Catholic Church so as I studied the Roman classics at school I began to understand the Latin of the Mass more and more. Because of the Mass Latin was a language with which I came into regular contact outside school and I continue to be enriched by the experience of those early years
