What I was told was it was to aid in Ferris Mowers basically being more available to customers that don't have a Ferris dealer close by. Make sense to me..

STIHL wanted to make mowers and needed someone to do it. If FERRIS didn't, someone else would've got the contract.

I can see why Ferris would do that. The two nearest Ferris dealers to me are both 65 miles away Bamberg and Columbia SC. I live near North Augusta, SC. I had a conversation with my brother, a Ferris owner about the fact that Ferris isn't popular in my area. We have dealers tha t sell Stihl products, but they sell Exmark, Toro, Wright, Walker, Husqvarna or Gravely mowers. We even have a Bradley dealer. This might be a game changerfor Ferris. The Stihl standon looks just like my brother's Ferris.

The mower rebrand scheme alive and wel! I heard Ferris has trouble stocking their brand in order to produce stihl.

Made by B&S (who owns Ferris) and pretty much match model by model. I’ve run Ferris for years and love em so I’d jump on a Stihl no problem.

Can't wait. Since they partnered with Briggs i know by the looks of them ... They're just rebranded Ferris mowers and i love Ferris and can work on them.

They're just Ferris mower's painted in Stihl colors and Stihl name slapped on them. I like and use both Ferris mower's and Stihl power tools so hopefully it's a great combination and technology brought together.

Many brands do this. It has allowed Stihl dealers to carry mowers they otherwise wouldn’t be able to sell.

Not really sure why they are doing this. I guess so you can have one brand that does everything. Be honest I don't see these being made years from now but who knows.
