Welcome back to the Plant Yard
This week we start with a couple of 13 tonne excavators, a CASE CX130 and a LiuGong 913 these machines are the backbone of our excavator hire fleet and are always in demand
Later, we drop our truck & trailer combination off for a Six Weekly inspection but go to recover a broken down 8 wheeler with Simon’s Volvo and Kässbohrer trailer
We collect a J45 Crusher from an awkward site in Bolton and load a 19 tonne Bomag roller
On Wednesday, we team up with Low-Loader driver Rob for a marathon journey down to Evesham across the Cotswolds, through Oxfordshire and all the way down to Kent to collect our 35 tonne Hitachi ZX350 Excavator
After we return we load our McCloskey J45 Crusher and take it to Danny and Alfie from PMW Quarries based near Huddersfield, we also collect our J40 Crusher from quite literally, just around the corner
Friday takes us to Wales with a Volvo A25G dump truck (colloquially known as a Moxy) to a site with an interesting access problem
Saturday gives us a chance to do the same job again with maybe an easier method of access

Another excellent video of your working week and the variety of the machines you move around the country. I caught your appearance on the TV on Thursday night, I didn't realise that the Fox group are such a large and varied business operation covering so many sectors.

@Stillgotallmyfingers You've got all the experience in moving huge earthmoving equipment safely, so moving caravans would be a walk in the park for you if things ever get quiet at Fox for the low loader side of the business. But I don't think that will ever happen from watching your videos.

Great video again Alex, loved the footage reversing out of the services with the 350, those low loaders with the bridge sections had apparently been there waiting 2 weeks to move?

Thank you Mark, we have Rob to thank for those shots in the MSA, not only is he a good Low-Loader driver, he’s pretty handy with a camera too 🤟 Those Sections have featured in an earlier episode and I’m sure I saw them in Hartshead at least a month ago do you have any idea where they’re going? 🤟

Hi Alex just a wonder why would you not place the roller up right against the blade of the 360 ? Then you only need one chain pulling back towards all up against neck.of trailer thanks love the vids mate

Back in the day I would of done Lewis but it’s Company Policy (and the law) that mobile plant should have four individual tensioned lashings, running hook to hook It’s a pain to get used to but if you’ve sorted your kit out, it soon becomes second nature 🤟 I’m glad you like the films Lewis, thank you 🙏

The Workshop Manager is the same person who was doing it when Baz worked here Just like Ashville and his ‘Towny’ some people do not necessarily wish to be on Social Media 🤟
