In this wonderful conversation Joanne shares how nearly 50 years of spiritual practice has shaped her life. Travelling to India in the 1970’s and 80’s transformed her and set her on the path of personal devotion. It was while travelling at this time that she met her life partner, Mark, while studying in Mysore with Pattabhi Jois.
Then, in the mid 1980’s she stopped practicing, moved back to Canada and devoted her life to raising a family with Mark. They let go of the yoga world until the early 2000s when a meeting with Jois in New York rekindled her love for the practice and she returned to Mysore for 5 years.
