Some fans maybe didn't like the "Joker" Sting but you had to give the man his props He's been able to bring in the babyface blond hair Sting, the quiet brooding "the Crow" sting, and then a mix of both and then crazy unpredictable "Joker" Sting and then again, a mix of both Who else is capable of doing this their whole wrestling career Sting is a very talented guy

It's because Ric Flair is more the real him than Richard Fliehr is at this stage. He has been playing the character for so long and so well that he has literally become the character. It's pretty much impossible for him to go back to just being Richard - a normal person. Why would he want to anyway? Ric Flair is his life.

March 26, 2001. That night was special...and sad. Vince had been winning the Monday Night Wars for nearly 2 1/2 years at that point. Often, from late 1999 on, Vince had watched WCW tear itself apart from within, due to horrible storylines and whatnot. Fast-Forward to this night...and you STILL see the love and respect that these two have for each other. Even though they were getting ready to face each other in a match soon after this interview, the comraderie was still there! Turns out that, whether they faced one another, or even teamed up together (which was a rarity), Sting looked at Ric Flair as a father figure, and as a true friend. Ric gave Sting major pushes in his career. That's because he knew Sting to be a man that was trustworthy, and a true human being and a great friend!!!

Sting is one of my top 5 favs of all time. The "joker" gimmick could've, and should've, been as big as the "crow" gimmick. I just think it was mishandled. He was too kooky, too goofy. He needed to be cold, calculating. Yeah be psycho, but not over the top. Almost like a Jake the snake type. Not goin for laughs. The idea of it was great. Sting loosing his mind. The way his face paint was smeared etc. And just imagine a dark, insane Sting vs Taker. Idk, I've just always thought it could've been a 3rd wind for his career. But he's still an all time legend. Truly an icon.

Sting needed the spotlight. He was not a man to diminish this spotlight of ancient warrior to Wwe until it made sense in career sense and even then in situations only beneficial to him. Defeat to Seth Rollins & Triple H were not diminishing factor, they were glorious moments in time. TNA kept him relevant and living legend on the stage and particularly on the main event level. Thus he is to be remembered by future fans of this sports as an legend who never diminished. What a genius career.

I wish he would bring that Sting back.. but I don't think it will ever happen.. Sting should have went to WWE if Vince would have let him do the quiet scary Sting, for a match at Wrestlemaina. Sting doesn't have too be great on the mic, look at what he's done over the years? I mean he was the face of wcw for so long, he was a huge part of why that company took off. And your right flair did put him on his back, but that's what really wrestlers do. Like undertaker did too triple h, and triple h did for Batista and Orton. I mean if they truly care about the business, they help others
