Even this late in their careers Sting and Flair stole the show with a great wrestling match. Flair put Sting on the map at Clash of Champions 1 so only fitting for Flair to go out with a bang with one of his biggest rivalries ever. 2 men who knows each other very well and can read their movement in the squared circle. Anyone who didn't like this match knows nothing about wrestling. Kudos to both men for such a strong match.

People are bitching and blaming Sting for how bad this match is. LOOK. There is no denying that Sting has slowed down after about 20 years of pro-wrestling. And he's not perfect, he makes mistakes in this match. HOWEVER, a good portion ofmaking pro-wrestling look good is not just the person doing the attacks, is the reaction of the person GETTING attacked. For a 52 year old (at the time of this match) recovered drug and alcohol addict, I think Sting moves DAMN GOOD all things considered. He still leaps well in his Stinger-Splash, he was trying his HEART out to make Ric look like he could still wrestle. The BIGGEST issue I saw here, was Ric SLOW AS HELL and TIRED AS HELL, not only when he was performing moves but when he was REACTING to Sting's moves. Before you jump on my case and say, "Don't diss Flair", Ric Flair is an Icon of himself, one of the most charismatic heels and is in EXCELLENT shape for a man in his 60's, but there's only SO MUCH you can do. Ric has the heart and the talent, he has excellent ring ability and experience, but his body just can't take it anymore. Ric would have to double up on steroids and spend a lot of time doing probably water-based cardio workouts to get even a decent medium pace for a short match anymore. Sting isn't too far behind, but he did a lot better than people give him credit for. I'm amazed Sting can do as well as he is doing.
@bp9392

***** I know these TNA guys, but I don't watch the show. If those Immortal guys all come out to sort of attack, it's one thing. One -Mr.- Kennedy comes out to save Sting from Bully Ray and the other non-lethal attackers, why the hell would he run by Abyss and Jarrett (the Immortal guys) to get to him? That is so illogical.

I give Flair props this man had to be 60 or 61 at this point and he could still go. Apparently he was forced to retire in 2008 by Vince McMahon and that's why he wrestled some matches in TNA. Vince McMahon had no business making that decision that was up to Ric.

@CliffForster That is also true. I'm not exactly sure what the TNA writers are trying to do but since its not 1989 anymore, i'm guessing they only had this match because Sting and Flair wanted to do it anyways. Or maybe its for the fans who still think they can wrestle without hurting each other. either way i wouldn't worry about it.

Really irritates me that the younger fans watch this and then assume neither of these two want to be out of the spot light and intentionally screwing over the younger wrestlers when that is not the fucking case. Yet some say Cena/Orton is better? I damn near threw my laptop across the room after I read that

What a mess. This is the reason I never will watch TNA. This kind of illogical garbage is why this company never will be #1, and will continue to drop until they are no longer #2; the gap is closing.

This rivalry has a lot of history, I still remember when FLAIR & STING 1st got into it some 20 sum yrs ago. Its was great to see them do it 1 last time 4 old time sake. CAN'T say enuff about what these 2 did here. 20 sum yrs ago FLAIR gave STING a push & THE STINGER GREW WINGS & FLEW! FOR THE YOUNGINS, THIS WAS A THRO BACK MATCH OF 1 OF THE GREATEST RIVALRIES OFALL TIME, FROM 2 OF THE GREATEST RING PERFORMERS OF ALL TIME.
