The dudes in brackets don't compare.
@carlgibbons57773 жыл бұрын
@@KONAMAN100 The dudes in the brackets have their own unmistakable style that captured the imaginations of generations of drummers and influenced more drummers/musicians than Vinnie ever will though. I'll take style/creativity over chops any day. Bohnam and Peart have all 3. Silly to diminish Peart in any way. He is probably the most "influential" drummer of all time.
@KONAMAN1003 жыл бұрын
@@carlgibbons5777 nah. Look at the people Vinnie has played for. Look at his versatility. This is what matters. You could pick a drummer from a pop band who sold millions more, but are they great, naaa. Unlikely. Not saying Peart or Bonham aren't decent, but without Rush or Zep where would they be. No contest.
@carlgibbons57773 жыл бұрын
@@KONAMAN100 I can see your point, there are certainly many drummers who are "all around" better players than Peart like Steve Smith even, but doesn't change the fact that Neil Peart is the most influential/popular drummer of all time and that is due to hi unique style. He's a master at coming up with drum parts that compliment the music while seamlessly transitioning between complex time signatures. He gets more "best drummer in the world" comments than anybody and that's because of his personal style/taste. I do give Vinnie all credit in the world as I'm the one that started this thread:) Vinnie is a much better all around player than Peart. No question.
