Josh is fantastic but I read this after I listened to the track and I thought it missed SC. The hits on the block are iconic and they were not there. Obviously he played what he wanted and should not copy BUT it ain’t the same SC ALL DAY LONG

When I saw him with the Polic e in 2008, my impression was he could hit the same notes, but not as often. There were songs played in lower keys, and other melodies where he sang a low note instead of a high. For "So Lonely" he only sang the last verse high. So the notes are still there, but he has to be a bit more careful with his voice.

It's a small detail, but Sting playing the guitar riff on the bass in the intro sold it for me. Sounds amazing, such quality and such grace... This man is a legend.

love this version...nice tempo and guitar arrangements. Nothing, absolutely nothing will replace Stu and Andy (putting Sting’s amazing compositions through the right ‘Police treatment’) but this one does not disappoint.

The two guitars make a big difference to the tonal breadth of the verses, and I missed Copeland's crazy tight snare. I agree, it's very different but I like what they did here.

My best version maybe live synchronicty..this version ok though with 2 guitar..but miss some drum fill by the only stewart coppeland. Its just me perhaps.

@@gentasepriandi999 No I entirely get it. This was the difference with Stewart and Andy. Stewart's style was always very energetic and the songs do feel different for it.

I come here to make a complaint with youtube. How can you not like more than once? Sting is one of the best artists of all time, his stage presence is surreal, not to mention his versatility in music. Congratulations Sting for being such a complete artist, and for this incredible performance. 👏👏👏👏👏

This is one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. It should be studied in any music history class because of the guitar tones, sting’s overall stage presence, and all of his band mates. This video never fails to make me tear up from how passionate the crowd is! Bravo sting 🐝

One of the best covers of the original Police classic...ever. (I'm just joshin' around, folks) Good on Sting for taking care of himself to be able to still do such awesome renditions decades later. One of the all time best songs. I share it with my kids.

Sting has such an incredible voice. You can feel he’s gotten older, check Sting at the Other Ball 1981, he was something out of this world back then. But man, he still a badass.

The opening 20 secs for me is the musical equivalent of the opening bars of The Chain, pure & timeless genius. Every time I hear then I get a chill down the spine. The rest of Message in Bottle isn't too bad either!!

He sounds best at recorded, but much better when live! Only few artists had golden voice. At his age, he wasn't lowers his tone. What a talent, legend!

Nothing compares to seeing Sting in person. He is magnetic when watching him on a video or on television but when you are watching him in a live concert, there is an energy there that is rare and something I have rarely witnessed before. His presence commands the venue with a power that cannot be resisted or ignored and it leaves you feeling like you have experienced music at it's uplifting best and on the deepest intellectual and very human level.

I grew up three streets away from Sting....he went to my school (I was 15 years younger); him, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits; Eric Burdon of the Animals and Brian Johnson of AC/DC totally represent the passion of Newcastle people.
