I completely agree. AEW Revolution 2024 is quite possibly one of the best AEW PPV ever, definitely top 5 with ALL IN 2023, AEW Revolution 2021, Forbidden Doors 2023, and AEW WrestleDream 2023. OH! Apparently, Miro is injured which is why we haven't seen him since mid last year. Thank goodness, as in, I'm glad he wasn't away due to issues with the company and I hope for him for a very speedy recovery for we need the guy back! Honestly, I really want him and CJ to come back together, and CJ to manage him with the "Rocky 4 Ravashin Russian" gimmick for that's what suits her the best!

Sting’s AEW run was absolutely incredible. Despite being in his 60’s, he still managed to do some insane spots in just about every match he did, and they booked these matches in a way where he looked great every time. Also, God, that Darby dive through the glass spot was scary as hell. I have no idea how he’s still walking. I am gonna miss Sting, I’m gonna miss him teaming with Darby, I’m gonna miss Tony Schiavone yelling “It’s STIIIIIIIIING!”… but they gave Mr. Borden the send off he deserved.

The sting entrance had my dad crying his eyes out, it was honestly a super big deal for him how well this sendoff was done and crowd shots showed he wasn't the only sting fan who was letting out those tears. This show was brilliant, the scramble was a bit unneeded but I thought it was still fun.

One small pet peeve I had was that when Hangman was not facing Swerve when in Joe's Coquina Clutch. Would've been better if he saw Swerve coming to break the hold and decided to tap to make sure Swerve could no longer win the watch
@TheWannabeexpert
@TheWannabeexpert 5 ай бұрын
That would have made the finish a perfect one. Know i mostly think Joe won it fair but Hangman instead of going out cold , as he probably would had it been man on man chose to tap in case Swerve got there late and Hangman would have no chance stopping him. But you are right had he seen Swerve coming an taped it would have been glorious.

@@QuJeejust looked. Their aew and raw reviews got between 70-80k and smackdown 50-60k, with the few exceptions being punk news heavy episodes (ie PUNK ALREADY HAS BACKSTAGE HEAT IN WWE....also a review of smackdown). @@rayzah449 It wasn’t a sudden decision and they’ve been talking about stopping smackdown reviews for years long before tempest emigrated and people knew who or what a Sat was. Maybe you’re right, but I’ve seen identical comments about how Roman is the biggest thing in wrestling (had zero impact on reviews), how punk has brought AEW to the next level (still the same number of views on dynamite reviews), omg John Cena is back an absolute mega star and legend (that didn’t impact this channels views). I’m not saying the rock wouldn’t increase views at the same time I wouldn’t say he would and in my head a guy coming in for what will either be a few weeks run or will see everyone turn off is worth sacrificing what you’ve wanted to do for years.

I really wish reviewers wold stop glorifying dangerous spots like the Darby through Glass one. Someone is going to get seriously injured or even die because of it, it should criticized, not praised. If you REALLY care about these people, you wouldn't condone them doing stunts like that. Darby wants to be like Jeff Hardy, but look at the condition of Jeff Hardy! He can barely walk! He had a great career, but he is a shining example of why you SHOULDN'T be doing those spots, especially as often as Darby has done them. And if Sting was going to win by tapout, I wouldn't have had the previous match end in a tapout.

👏to the fans with the signs lol. So, a few random thoughts. During Jay white's promo after the match he sounded so sarcastic, i was disappointing that he didn't turn on acclaimed. Danielson didn't only shake Eddie's hand, we can see him also doing a little bow as he exited the ring, it was really a cool moment. The scramble match could have been on Dynamite, especially considering that including the pre-show the event was- checks Steiner maths- 5½ hours. BCC vs FTR was a good match, but i'm glad this feud is over (hopefully). I popped so hard when I saw Kyle. Same for the Pac vignette. Ospreay and Takeshita had the match of the show by far imo. The triple threat and the Sting retirement match were amazing. I wouldn't say it was the best ppv they ever did tho. I'd say half of it was great, and half was at best average. Also, way too long.

Why bring back the rankings to determine your world title contender and then the very next month have a random 8 man #1 contenders match featuring Magnus who doesnt even work for AEW so i imagine hes pretty low on the rankings. A phenominal show top to bottom, but id much rather have had Toni and Deonna get more time and stings full speech at the end by cutting this. Or, a second womens match, heaven forbid

Darby's glass spot was incredible. Sting's glass spot was unnecessary, especially when you see the fan view where the glass got sprayed into the crowd at face level! I'm really surprised that there aren't reports of people being hurt.

The Ospreay vs Takeshita match was 7 out of 5 for me. Amazing ability of both guys, great story telling throughout the match - fantastic selling, although that scrape/bruise looked painful. The Sting match, what can I say? One word. Awesome! I feel we lost the crowd momentum in the Tony Storm match. The "Meat" match was okay-ish. I just wish they would cash in at some point on Hook's momentum, although it is nice to see Wardlow get some of his back! Yep, amazing event from AEW - I'd even say it was almost on par, if not better than the Elimination Chamber PLE of WWE (I'm not the territorial type). Also, worth bearing in mind, Swerve came from NXT. He shines a like a diamond in AEW. Your opinions may vary, but the above is my own.

I loved this PPV hands down my only issue.was the glass spot 😢 if he wasn't so high up I'd feel differently but that risk was for me was to much I'm glad he able to get up and finish the match but stings last match was amazing 10/10 no question I'm glad he was able to leave as a champion and proud of the bucks for letting him leave as a champion 💙

If all Revolution shows are getting great reviews, they should just make it their marquee PPV like WM

I don't think they have a single Marquee show yet and if they did it would most likely be All In since that was the idea that spawned AEW in the first place.

That promo by Pete was awesome. Just as equally awesome was the production and editing of it. Give it up for the producers and editors.👏

Gawh, AEW dropping my wrestleleague position with that Sting win. Does this mean that the tag titles are being put up in a tournament, will Darby get the opportunity to find a new tag partner?

Tag titles are being put in a tournament starting in "March" no exact date though, so I'm wondering if theyre waiting until after big business. I'm guessing a no for Darby he begins climbing Everest at the end of this month. My guess is keep him off TV for a few months and returning to a massive pop and a new direction for the character with conversation around stings retirement dying down by then.

I was there live at ringside and the show was magical. The Darby spot was wild. And here's a lil fun fact, this was the same arena Kyle O'Reilly made his AEW debut

How can someone who invaded a man's home and cut a promo over their baby be an honorable face?

I think it's less that he wanted to do it honorably, and more that Hangman saying Swerve couldn't beat him without someone helping him got in his head, so he didn't want to win with Nana's help.

8:30 "With the benefit of hindsight" As a fan maybe but for the promotion that shouldn't apply. The agents should be making sure those spots aren't repeated through the show. AEW has been guilty of that one repeatedly. I remember once something as esoteric as the "Pull back to telegraph a punch so the guy ducks and you cinch in a DDT" spot was done twice in one show. There's something wrong at AEW that allows that to keep happening. Exactly what it is I don't know, but that really shouldn't happen, especially around something like Sting's final match.

Please do a TLC of Sting’s best matches/moments. 🦂🎉 He’s been my favorite since the early 90s. Please don’t do a “worst list”-I’ve heard enough about Robocop, Starcade 97, and Wrestlemania 31 😂

Idk I feel like the wrestlers that wrestled last night were trying extremely hard to make this one of the greatest PPVs of all time in order to send off Sting properly. Fantastic PPV.

HELLUVA show. Really hoping they run back Swerve/Joe and put the belt on the former...and I could've seen the Champ Scramble swapped for the Women's Tag, but those small things aside: perfection. Sting deserved a do-over on his final match, and it's amazing he got it.
