No matter how many I'm uninstalling the game, from time to time I'll find myself reinstalling it again. I believe that the saying "the zone always calls the stalker back" is true. Cheers to the great people behind the stalker series!

I have finished Stalker Call of Pripyat as well as Metro Last Light. Now... I suffer under PTSD. This games broke me. I'm a broken man now.😅☢☢ I will never forget the zone and Artyom!

2008: played Clear Sky 2010: played Call of Pripyat 2010-2012: played mods 2019: finally beat Clear Sky 2020: finally beat Shadow of Chernobyl and revisited Call of Pripyat, now playing mods It was a long-ass break but my love for stalker didn't change

This is how my story with Stalker CoP started: I was at primary School with my friend Marko it was rainy day and we talked about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and after that day he started to watch STALKER on KZfaq and he loved it one day he called me to help him with homework and i knew im gonna install on his PC STALKER and while we worked homework STALKER was downloading and when it downloaded i installed STALKER and he started to play unfortunately he didnt knew English and he didnt know to start missions and i was idiot i didnt remember to download translated version of stalker for him and it was biggest mistake because he wasnt able to play stalker because he didnt know English and he leaved it on his PC and it now probably waits on his PC to be played sad thing is that we are High School now and we cant meet each other because we now go in different cities but even now i want to get inside his house and to enable his translate but i suppose that will never happen now im sad but you know how they say Such is Life in the Zone but now i play STALKER CoC mod on my PC and i cant go to Zaton because i will start to cry because of my friend (IM SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH ) 14.10 2020 He called me yesterday to help him install Counter Strike Source and i gave him translated version of STALKER he was happy and me too....

I never understood the hate for CS. CoP is my favorite. I could play it all day, even with no quests to do, just because the atmosphere and world is great, but CS is definitely a close second. I run CoP with a realistic damage mod that isn't available for CS, and that's the only reason I like CoP more. I loved how the factions had more to them in CS. They weren't just guys in the map that didn't shoot at you, they had their wars, their struggles, and they fought back and forth over territory. And you could effect how things went. I remember I joined the Loners and helped them push the Bandits, as an organized faction, out of the Zone for good, and I felt like I really accomplished something for the good of my Loner brethren when I defeated the last Bandit outpost in Agroprom, pretty much wiping them out as an organized faction. CoP doesn't really have that same feeling. You just do quest for the Loners and the bandits just kinda.... disappear.

I can't decide is SoC of CoP would be my fav. I love them both for different reasons. In Soc I think the atmosphere is so much spookier and gloomy. The ending of SoC is pretty spectacular as well. The game ending bugs I have encountered irritate me a bit so I have to install the complete mod when I play. Otherwise the game breaks most of the time. I completed it once with the complete mod. In CoP there were many improvements. The atmosphere in Pripyat is great. As far as quests go, yeah you're on the outside basically since you’re undercover military. I didn’t mind not being part of any factions. The weapon and ui were much better in CoP. Being able to have 2 different weapons equipped at the same time was pretty great. Because before I could not equip a shotgun and a rifle. However CS imo is a shit show. First I couldn’t play the game without the complete mod. I wasn’t getting the proper dialog options and just a bunch of stupid crap. I installed the complete mod and I was able to get farther but kept encounter tons and tons of bugs!! Lefty wouldn’t move forward with me. The Lamansk Bridge wouldn’t go down. CS leader wouldn’t talk to me because a guy kept spawning under the bridge. Lamansk I couldn’t save in at all without a save corruption happening and it crashing the game. In Lamansk the monolith were literally walking through wall and were killing me in two bullets. No not two sprays, literally two bullets and I had an exo suit. So many game breaking bugs. This game was a bug fuck fest and that is why I think it’s shit. The story was okay. It was nice to have some gaps filled in. I didn’t care for it being more about the factions and less about the zone either. I’m not here to shoot plain old bandits and shit. I’m here for the mutants and fucked up’ness of the zone. Sorry for the novel. Oh and last, I will say it was neat to see how the factions moved and ended up in their places that you saw in SoC. I did like that.

Zamora Blake I never had any game breaking bugs in CS. Maybe I just got lucky. I've had some weird bugs in CoP where, after I reach a certain point in my story progress, all the stalker NPCs just kinda freeze in place. It's fixable by sleeping until they're scripted to start running outside to go on their usual routines, but it's still an odd bug.

Первое, что я познал из мира Сталкера, это книгу Дезертир. Она вышла в поддержку выхода игры, по заказу. Игра еще не была готова, писатель знал только общий концепт. Книга очень похожа, и не похожа одновременно на игру. Крайне рекомендую прочитать.

Хах, уже 11 лет прошло. Помню в 2010 жара лютая стояла. Я хотел сказать, что впервые со Сталкером познакомился осенью 2007. Мне было тогда 9 лет. Позже у меня будет множество книг, дисков с модами и разных аксессуаров по Сталкеру. По началу я смотрел, как играет папа. Помню я очень испугался, когда он спустился в подземелье НИИ и на него выскочил кровосос. Вскоре, я тоже начал играть. Из деревни новичков мне было страшно выходить. Фоновые звуки очень напрягали. Но исследовать игровой мир очень хотелось. Я потихоньку начал делать вылазки, хах. X-18 я очень боялся. Я просил папу, чтобы он прошёл её за меня, лул. Хорошое время было.

У меня таже история с сталкером я познакомился в 2014 мне тогда 6 было, тоже смотрел как папа играл😥память ему небесная диски книги потом у меня тоже появились, папа кстати тогда в чистое небо играл он был в рыжем лесу я очень боялся когда там появлялись мутанты

I only started seriously playing the stalker games about two years ago and even though I haven't been playing it as long as most stalker fans it's still a very nostalgic game for me. I get this urge to play it again every couple of months or so. Its true what they say; you can take a stalker out of the zone, but you can't take the zone out of a stalker.

2024.......я передаю традицию.сегодня мой сын подощёл и спросил-"пап?а че такое Сталкер?". Я пустил слезинку.улыбнулся и достал из запылтвшегося адьбома старую коробочку с Зовом Припяти.подощел к своему крмпьютеру.запустил мотор этого стариного монстра.сопровождаемый тихим жужанием компа,я открываю дисковвод.протираю облезшую рамку и с лелея вставляю диск.Захожу без инструкций.ручки помнят.Мой компьютер-Дисковод-STALKER.EXE. И тут я вижу .....себяпацан. лет так 11-12...Компьютерный клуб в маленьком городке.бледный желтенький монитор.жужание советских Машин и запах пыли и окисленых проводов.я сижу и прохожу новинку которую мне Дядя из командировки,из Одессы привез-Диск с новой игрой.как сейчас помню.я запускаю игру.Божественное интро......и музыка.с самого начала......меня захватила мелодия...... И вот прошли годы.новый комп.квартира в Питере.и стоит передо мной мой сын.я вытер слезу и включил игру......

*_Да блять когда я о коронавирусе узнал(мне тогда было 10) я тупо скачал сталкер, и играю все еще. 11 прохождений ТЧ 10 на мастере, не учитывая спидранов, 3 прохождения ЧН, два на мастере 4 прохождения ЗП, 3 на мастере, и все это на компе с 1 ГБ оперативки._*

Мы меняемся из за многих условий, аспектов, факторов, и если простыми словами-меняемся под гнётом времени. Однако есть то, что связывало детство и прошлое большого количества людей, то, что могло сильно отразиться в их душе, вдохновить их, поменять их взгляд на мир и само его осознание. Я говорю про эту серию игр. Да, мы меняемся, однако подобные моменты остаются с нами в памяти и в сердце, и порой, возвращаясь к ним, как например сейчас,спонтанно, из рекомендаций-мы вспоминаем и ощущаем себя прошлых-себя из тех золотых моментов. На эти короткие промежутки времени, мы вспоминаем наш образ мышления из прошлого, эмоции и чувства откликаются у нас в душе, словно ликуя, что есть такие моменты, о которых мы можем вспомнить. Жизнь-это путь, и у большинства он очень труден и тернист, однако я хочу сказать жизни спасибо за то, что пробираясь сквозь тернии, я встречал на своем пути такие шедевры, что меняли меня, учили морали, увеличивали кругозор и менял взгляд на мир. Спасибо каждому, кто приложил руку к этим играм и историям, они поменяли действительно многих и, я надеюсь, эти многие уже вдохновившись этими историями пойдут создавать новые шедевры, что в будущем уже вдохновят кого-то ещё. Omg this song has such a deep place in my heart, that it nearly brought a tear to my eyes hearing the fine tunes. :') All the memories... all the feelings... S.T.A.L.K.E.R.... what a legendary game - with legendary songs. It's always breaking my heart seeing this game dead development-wise. Crazy how much a song and game can change. This game helped me through a depressive phase, jeez the tunes are just heart-breaking.. :') love it

Thomas S. I was trying to play ShoC, but after I was done loading 2 (or so) mods, I noticed the game constantly crashing at specific events, such as grabbing an item in the inventory, so I stopped again and I will just keep it as a precious memory. :)

+Chelu Aparhun Honestly,it should have the Metro story and S.T.A.L.K.E.R athmosphere.IMO metro had a better story than either SOC or CS (didn't play COP) but the "Claustrophobic" premise of it's athmosphere got old really quick and it's gameplay was very linear-centered.

I met someone that introduced me to stalker and was a massive part of my life around a year ago we became best friends and eventually lovers but with time came challenges just as life brings us and we're no longer partners or talk anymore I think about them more that I could probably describe and I find such a bittersweet feeling when I listen to this song as the others he introduced me to I remember being so excited about the new stalker game being made because it was going to support multiplayer but now this franchise to me feels just as desolate as the world it's set in
