I am pleased to view your Stitch Diary No 1 for 2024. Your Xmas stockings are fabulous, you are so talented. Your gnome adventure sounds like lots of fun, your first two are cute. I just love your little knitted frog and penguin, and I absolutely adore your little mice and their outfits! That bookmark is delicious! I think that you have a very clever method of distraction, to knit. I have put the moomins on my reading list from my local library, I have never heard of them so excited to read. Tove Jansson mentioned that she wrote a little in the style of the author of Pinocchio so I have requested a translated copy of that as well. Golly, love your pear and partridge, too, and the llama. I guess I have lots of stitching in my future. Please share your dolls, I enjoy them, too. There are lots of doll lovers out here. thanks again, Laurie

Thank you so much Laurie. You have a good memory to remember all those things. I finished my mouse bookmark and coaster this evening, that’s freed up to knitting bags to cast on more for distraction. lol I hope that you enjoy the Moomin books. I’m enjoying them so far. Some of my viewers aren’t keen on my doll stuff. So I’m trying to keep them separate, but I admit, it’s so difficult to not mention them. lol x

I can only imagine how much time and effort each little sweater requires. I would never be able to accomplish one sweater, never mind 24 for Advent. You are amazing Claire. That cappuccino color is beautiful. Hope you find a matching yarn for Harry's leg. And I am excited for you to continue the story of Purl and Plain. Looking forward to 2024...Happy New Year.

Ha ha Rowan, I’m so fussy too. I loved making mice again. Happy New year to you. I’m dying to sew but being family free is so difficult at the minute. It’s Monday and husband and youngest home today. Xx

@@ClaireWhoMakesThings You will have to pretend to go out the front door calling 'Just popping out, see you later' and then tiptoe off to the craft room (such as it is currently) quietly close the door and hole up in there for hours!!! 🤫 shhhh...😂

Great Video Claire so many beautiful makes. Such a shame not having enough yarn for your Harry Potter Crochet. What using a different colour on each of the bottom of his legs to look like he has socks on then his black shoes. Happy New Year to you and your lovely family so look forward to your videos x x

Thank you so much Mariangela. I’ve considered that, and considered cutting his legs off, and using something else. My husband couldn’t get a replacement unfortunately, he bought it in August for my October birthday, so it was too long ago to contact Amazon.

Hello Claire, lovely to see you again. A very happy new year to you and your family. I was just wondering if you could share where the pattern for the 12 days of Christmas ornaments is from, please. You probably did say, but I forgot! See you next time ❤

Happy new year Julie, thank you so much. Sorry I forgot to mention it. It’s a book from Corinne Lapierre. x

What a bumper edition if your stitch diaries! Loved it, you’ve been very productive. I just love those cute little mice. Will you be joining in with the spring embroidery project by poppy?? I’ve decided not to as it looks quite an involved make lol xx
@ClaireWhoMakesThings5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Karen. Yes I will be joining in with Poppy. It hadn’t been released when I did this video, this often happens. I’m having some time off from band practice, so I think I will get time to do it this time, however my machines that I do it on are currently stored away, that makes things tricky. x

I wanna make this, but I don't understand what you mean for the edging that the yarn in front and then you turn it or whatever could you explain that I wanna make one just like yours have a great day Claire, beautiful

@@inspiredbypinkreneelovesba5269 Ahh thank you. I knit with the yarn at the back of the work, then (if I am remembering this correctly) just before the last two stitches, put the yarn in front of the work, slip the last stitches purlwise. repeat on every row.
@inspiredbypinkreneelovesba52695 күн бұрын
I see you don't knit or purl but you put the yarn and slip the two stiches as if to purl, it is always easier while you are trying it with needles in hand . Thank you can't wait to try it!@@ClaireWhoMakesThings
