i decided to be kinder with myself or crazier. I turned 71 in April. I've been a widow for 25 years. I have 5 children. I have 10 living grandchildren from 28 to 11. But I decided a year ago that this birthday was going to start life with a new outlook. I can and will do what I want. and enjoy the process of life. and its been working so far.

Thank you for the giggles today. I feel the same way about scorpions that you do spiders. I’m a widow, so I have to deal with all of the critters myself. I would love to see some pics of your garden. It sounds wonderful. Oh, and I love your stitching.😊

Hi Anna. I had a Wolf spider on the outside of my bathroom wall a week ago and tried to hit it with a metal shovel and missed. I had the heebie Jeebies all day and even though it was outside, I checked my bed before I would get in it that night. I love the beach rat cross stitch and will probably order it too. Have a great week and as always thank you for the videos.

I went on a cross stitch cruise last January out of Ft Lauderdale. Jan Hicks, Jean Farrish and Michelle Bendy were the designers. It was so fun. My husband went also and we tooki excursions too. I would recommend it.

How serendipitous that I turned on your flosstube as I was working on Beach Rat! You must start it soon. I'm finding it very enjoyable. I will have it with me on my trip to Quilters Affair so I'll show it to you at Sit and Stitch.

“Oh! You’re back.” I can’t stop laughing. I moved to Phoenix from Houston. In Houston I had a fabulous rose garden surrounding the front porch. Here… I can’t grow a cactus. I grew up on a farm and love growing things. Am sooooo envious of your gardens.

I daren't start something new as I'm stitching a Sampler for our friends Golden Wedding soon and now have torn ligaments in a finger on my right hand so I've to wear a splint for several weeks in the hope it knits together and heals (or it's an op) so I'm now really on a tighter deadline.☹️ Fortunately cross stitching is easier than embroidering🙂. Anyway I'm to have it assessed by the Fracture Clinic team on Friday so I may pick up a tip or two? The day out with your grandson will have given you both good memories. Well done Grandma.

This year we celebrate our 49th anniversary. I am doing a Teresa Kogut 'Let Love Reign" for it. It has flowers around the edges too. Taking longer than I had thought. But it will get done sometime. I have 3 girls. They are turning 45, 43 and 40 this year Yikes Have fun camping and at Quilters Affair. I hope to get to go someday.

Changing the count on the Peacock is a good call. I’m doing the 32ct now and it’s a bit big for a pinkeep. I may turn this into a box top and then pinkeep the restitch with some added beading. It is a gorgeous stitch!

Hi Anna! I had the pleasure of meeting you a few weeks ago at Acorns and Threads. My name is Kristin…I was the crazy, excited to see stitchy humans in real life, gal (lady sounds too mature to refer to myself as🤣) purchasing fabric for my next heirloom stocking. I’ve never been in a room full of stitchers before…I was, as I’ve heard you say (as I binge watch your past videos!) gobsmacked! I was SO inspired by all of the projects that I saw, oh the samplers and those biscornus❤️❤️❤️ As silly as it sounds, the first Inside Out movie was life changing for me. I now try to overcome moments of anxiety or self deprecation with humor as I envision all of the little characters up to their shenanigans in my overactive brain! I am SO glad that my hubby (of 34 years!) encouraged me to stop by the shop that day. I look forward to getting out more and frequenting the shop and joining in the Zoom calls. LOVE your Flosstube💖✨

Oh Anna you make me laugh so much. I wish you were my neighbor. I remember when I was married and my husband was on the road I had to call my brother to come 45 minutes away and kill a spider that was on my kitchen ceiling. Forget about if there’s one on the bedroom ceiling. There is no sleep until it’s gone!

Love that garden story, Anna! I took the Master Garden course a bazillion years ago in college, forgot everything, and was just happy that my plants played with each other nicely! I have a great bug story that I know you'll like. An old friend married a Thai woman when he lived there for 45 years. They ran many a guided canoe trip up and down the rivers. Once when camping overnight, "P" said there was a mosquito in the tent and she needed her hubby to shoo it out before she could sleep. You see, she is Buddhist and cannot kill a living creature. Her hubby, needing sleep, said he would go in and take care of it. He came out with the dead mosquito and said he'd found out it was a Christian mosquito, so he killed it! We've gotten a good laugh out of that over the years (and we hope we don't offend any Christian's in the telling)😂

Happy early anniversary! wow 47 years congratulations! I just turned 50 this month , and people still don't believe I have a 32 year old. Thank. you for all. you do with the video's. Enjoy camping trip. As far as the spiders you can down sticky traps, if you don't want to catch them., just remember that they are not dead unless you leave the trap for a while. The Peacock is beautiful. I have seen Beach Rat, I almost ordered it. I am currently having to rebuy patterns that I had in PDF;s , lost my old laptop. Love the Santa. I got side tracked and ;need to get back to them.A cruise sounds nice, I was supposed to go to Alaska but Pandemic happened, so did not get to go.

I am such a spiderfobic, that I can’t even have the spider picture on the bug spray, facing towards me. Also……I’m positive that if I saw that bedroom spider… I’m convinced it’s going to little spider babies on my blankets while I’m asleep…. Millions of them. Even the word sends me into ‘ spider sweats’

Oh Anna, you had me laughing when you mentioned the Master Gardener at the garden tour. I'm that person, well probably not the exact same one but a MG who is also a botanist. Instead of nursing or medical school like my undergrad classmates I went to graduate school to get my Ph.D in Cell Biology but since I didn't want to do animal research I chose botany instead. I see you're stitching the BBD Eiffel Tower for Stitch Camp. It's looking great!!! I was glad to hear that you have the Joyeux Noel book so can stitch the little stocking as well!

Heh friend!! I've been in a hole as I have not seen that gorgeous peacock pattern! It is so cute!! Your fabric for the beach rat is perfection! It does look exactly like sand!! Well have fun in your magical garden! My front is full of wildflowers and perennials as that's all that can make it here due to lack of attention. Hubby does pull the occasional weed, but I'm such a bug freak I cannot imagine sticking my hand down into plants 😱😱. Yeah, I'm a weirdo. I tell the bugs they are safe outside, but come into my house at your own risk as I squish and ask questions later. My contribution to gardening this year is mowing the lawn (smile). Well, have fun getting ready for QA! Hugs from NE Ohio.

When you said your marriage anniversary is coming up in September of 47 years, it reminded me that I’ve been divorced more years than you will be married. Congratulations on finding the right person to take that journey with you. Wish I had found the right one but it is what it is. Maybe in my next life. Lol. Take care. See you next time.
