It means that he is telling people he is confident in his chess abilities and will challenge anyone, but if someone actually challenges him he will admit that he is not confident at all in his abilities and will make an excuse not to play you.

In the first game you claimed - after trading rooks - Rb1+ does win a whole rook. I'm afraid but that's not 100% accurate. Bc1, Rxc1+, Ke2, Nc3+, Kd2 and black is "only" up a piece :P

soooo great lectures from you GM Ben. One correction:, please don't use term "soviet" with Georgia. I'm from Georgia and big part of our country is occupied by Russia and once Russia is associated with Soviet Union, i think it's inappropriate. I'll thank you for it. P.S if I knew you were here, in Georgia, I'd definitely meet meet you.

So when the top ten play the top ten it's a draw then when the top ten play the bottom 2 they get destroyed? While that makes no sense, Magnus Carlsen does lose to himself on the Magnus App so idk chess is hard - never try

Ben Simon I have a great idea for you. I know hard how it is to serve two master the loose mouthed ben finegold and staunch conservative rex. How about just bleep out Ben's political remarks (maybe blur out the mouth too if you know how to do that to prevent lip reading, I can give you some pointers if you need help doing the blur)? It would be hilarious we could fill the comments section with guesses as to what he really said. And I think less people would beat you up over the editing as they might see how it's not you that is doing this but the management forcing it on you. Also only two jokes sailed over my head. New world record! I actually like Ben missing the "whole rook". He played a very good and very human move. There are two schools of thought in chess. 1) "When you see a good move, look for a better one” (Emanuel Lasker) 2) If you see a move that wins, quit thinking and make it. "2" is a way better philosophy. Why? Because otherwise you run out of time! Lasker played back when you had an hour or two per move and they had this weird thing called "adjournent" where they quit playing after 10 or so hours so they could start up again the next day. This sort of advice is not to be taken seriously for modern chess.
