​@@darkobrownit's because of the bottleneck, you can be the best non league side assembled in history, but unless you win the league, then you probably aren't getting promoted. Same goes for league 2, no matter how bad the team is, if they do enough to stay out of the bottom two, there's no consequences, you stay up and further dilute the quality of the division. The national league needs 3 or 4 promotion slots to make league 2 and the rest of the football league more competitive.

@@L1am21what are you talking about Wrexham are probably one the most profitable clubs in the entire EFL, so hardly likely to break FFP rules. The club make 20 million a year just from the documentary that is a huge hit in the USA. That doesn’t include the huge sponsorship deals they have with global companies like TikTok, American Airlines, Expedia and Stoke Coffee. Cost per season are just 4.2 million so they are massively in the black given their revenues

3 teams get promoted and MK Dons can't catch Wrexham on 82 points. MK Dons could mathematically catch Mansfield currently on 79; hence why Mansfield haven't yet sealed their likely promotion.

While it might be growing in the country as a whole there has always been a big fanbase and player base here.. It just wasn't our most popular sport. There have been millions and millions of fans for over a half century. It's just now the casuals are finally getting into it.

@@ian_r125 Yes a lot of fans don't religiously watch the EPL because of the times they play for one. Two there are tons of LigaMX fans here. Those TV numbers don't include streaming data as well. Plus most leagues and tournaments are going on during EU games on Sat. We're a nation of immigrants...
