I think it’s interesting that Jenna has a YELLOW phone and Tyler has a red one. She’s outside of dema and because yellow symbolizes hope this could be a metaphor for how Jenna is Tyler’s hope and encouragement that motivates him to escape

i noticed that during the second verse of lane boy they started playing nico and the niners but weren't able to play the whole song because it has the lyric "dema don't control us" in it - while the show was controlled by dema

I find it extremely interesting that during Mulberry Street everyone was frozen. It had that WandaVision vibe. And then all of a sudden, when the bridge kicked in when the deep voice joins Tyler singing “Mulberry Street, so good to see you,” that is when all the people start moving. Since the deep voice is Blurryface, it’s just a cool idea that his voice can control everyone in dema.

Love how they basically released an entire album as a teaser/part of the rollout for the actual next album

I think Nico and the Niners might tell the plan for this live stream. "Force a sponsor and start a concert, a complete diversion, start a mob and you can be quite certain. We'll win but not everyone will get out". Album = sponsored by DEMA. Concert = live stream. Diversion = everyone was distracted with the concert until the alarm went off. We'll win but not everyone will get out = The diversion was successful because someone (maybe Clancy) made it out, but Tyler is still trapped.

Lets all take a moment to admire tyler and his amazing story telling abilities. This man isn't just an artist. He's a story teller, a producer, a sonwgriter, a vocalist and the author of not just this story, but of all the music, all the details, the letters, the numbers. This man literally spends all of his time planning out eveyr single detail. Not a single stone is unturned when it comes to the possibilites he has when it comes to the lure of the music. This man has done it all.

noticed that every song that has a scream in it gets cut or the hosts show up. in holding on to you, when tyler screams, the bishops cut it off, in shy away, Tyler screamed and the bishopes showed up and lastly, in jumpsuit/hds, the bishops also showed up with f'd up faces and after car radio, instead of showing the bishops' faces, an alarm occurred. i think the alarm tellls Tyler that the performance needs to end immediately because they are coming for them

Here’s something you might have not caught on. On saturday you can see the 2 bishops telling tyler “remember the collection?” since tyler was playing TOO many old songs not from the Scaled and Icy collection they told him to stop and remember the collection, which then tyler makes a facial expression of “fine i’ll do it” and starts singing the most “fake” and “generic” song of the album, saturday, one of the most perfect representation of the masked good dema is trying to portray

it is incredible how even though it was an online concert, i had an adrenaline rush after the live experience, just like i normally have with a concert. like how the FUCK did they do that???? the story, the choice of songs, TYLERS HAIR, the choreos, the rooms, the amazingly sung songs........ it was so so f-ing good. it was so much more than i expected. and i cant wait to see them irl. this album is a BOP also im loving your take on the lore in the livestream

When Jenna and Tyler are talking on the phone we can see that Jenna’s phone is yellow, which is the rebel colour in the album Trench, while Tyler’s phone is red, which reminded me of Blurryface and I think that it symbolises Tyler is a prisoner of Dema and the bishops, and Jenna is kinda his savior, just as in the song Tear In My Heart.

I don't know if anybody else caught this but when the bishops cut off twenty one pilots I'm pretty sure they constantly say the album is "full of saturation" and "dripping with saturation", but the first words we hear on the entire album are "I can feel my saturation leaving me slowly". Edit: Also, Fun Fact: in the play All My Sons (the play Tyler got the name twenty one pilots from) they made their aircraft parts in Ohio. Oh and the lead character kills himself at the end.

When you referred that when the alarm went off it was like someone tried to escape it automatically reminded me of "A complete diversion", like the show was held so the bishops would do their propaganda show, but at the same time TOP had a second intention (maybe Clancy running away and escaping). I recently posted on reddit how Bounce Man reminds me of Tyler speaking to someone in need of help, so he could help him out with some things and he would disappear for good. Clancy seems the perfect character for this escaping, since the bishops want to make him (and possibly fake his death) as an example since his failed escape from Dema

I read a comment somewhere about how during any sai song Tyler and Josh were on the "wrong" sides. Tyler is normally on the right and Josh on the left during performances and promo pics, but for anything sai, they were swapped. And it held true for the livestream event as well. I'm not sure exactly what it means, but it does make everything feel a bit off, and I thought it was cool they paid that close attention to detail. Edit: mixed up my rights and lefts originally bc wow...

I think all the lyrics of the album are wrote with Clancy’s handwriting in walls and letters when you go to the “Inside the lyrics” site

a thing to notice is that they always play "Trees" at the end of the show but here they didn't do that

I also find it interesting how the hosts kept saying that the album was so saturated but all the posters and stuff were very desaturated. And a bit of a stretch that the original logo colours of tøp were red and dark blue has been desaturated to baby pink and baby blue.

I think the snow has something to do with the bishop Reisdro. His button in the control room is white. The tempatuREISDROpping frome the song Doubt ⚪❄️ and icy has mabye had something to with that to.

The livestream was so fun Tyler and Josh really outdid themselves Another thing I found interesting was at the most climactic parts of the live stream when Tyler was performing was when the ad for the shirts and then that corner one kept coming up idk if it’s a stretch but I found it interesting another thing I found interesting was that Dan and Sally did not mention any of the other songs from previous albums but only referred to scaled and icy as if they were trying to rewrite history. Or at least stop the real music from being spoken about ( if we consider scaled and icy was written by Dema this would make sense because Tyler can’t outright talk against it)

It could also be him daydreaming because when he first got up to sing, the hosts froze as if the singing was happening in a different reality than the one in which they were talking, and the real reality resumes when he sits back down from his daydream. Also, if it had been the morning show, he would have only performed stressed out, not an entire concert

Really well put together I personally think trash represents destruction obviously he has it written on him but also “I created this world to feel control destroy it if it want” obviously Ned represents Tyler’s creative side so trash being a dragon just really makes me think he is destruction

Good Day Dema's logo is directly inspired by the original Good Morning America logo (from the 70's). It's the same font, most obvious by the slanted A and the overlapping o's (although in the GMA logo these O's are colourful). The Good Day Dema set is also meant to look like a living room, just like GMA originally was set to look like a living room although I'm not sure if that is a particularly identifying feature of GMA or was a common talk show design at the time.

another thing that could possibly point to clancy still being alive is the lyrics in shy away, “When I get home You better not be there, we're placing bets you won't” there’s multiple ways you could put that towards clancy, both in a negative and positive way

In the mountain scene, there are 9 chairs, 1 for each bishop, Tyler jumps on the table and jumps on the plates and breaks stuff nodding to trying to destroy the bishops

What I love besides how AMAZING the livestream was, is that someone who is new to the lore could still enjoy the show and music clueless to the other things going on. 🙋‍♀️

The livestream was amazing, even if you didn't know any of the Dema stuff. But yes, there were lots of hints about the narrative. One thing you didn't mention is how, as the livestream continued, there were more and more people added to the band, and they were wearing jumpsuits that had Tyler's hourglass tattoo on them, but also had the Dema logo on them. It's like the bishops needed more and more oversight to watch Tyler. Before Lane Boy, when you hear "Why do I kneel to these concepts?" and the rest of that lead-in, the mouth on the Bishops appears to be Tyler's mouth, as if he's the one actually saying those things. Or maybe it confirms that this is in his head. Then when Lane Boy starts, the neon lights make a fence, and that's when they have several more band members. After the two hosts/bishops say "No chances" and that they're sending more people, THAT's when there are MANY more people in the band, including back-up singers. Also, the symbolism of fire and water is used extensively - the bucket, the pond/boat, the torch, the burning car. I like your idea that the scene where Tyler is screaming "Entertain my Faith!" was related to "The Matrix," but I think that looked more like water.... These are symbols of change and baptism. And it was often after water/fire scenes that the bishops looked more beat up. I agree that "Clancy is Dead" is a lie. I also agree that Josh isn't in Dema. Thanks so much for this video!!

The livestream was impressive as hell. I shared a lot of your theories and spent a lot of this video playing snap with you and that’s more evidence for me that we are correct as lots of us came up with these. You forgot to mention around 5:00 - The monologue/dialogue in this part ("Why do I kneel to these concepts, tempted by control, controlled by temptation, stay low they say" etc) is the same dialogue used in the lane boy music video and is also played over the speakers when they perform lane boy live. It's a cool little segment!

That would also explain why in between set changes of each song tyler kept smirking at the camera cuz he knew what was coming

I theorize that the point of capture to have been the towers of silence for Tyler and Clancy. My evidence is the setting of Inside the Lyrics page. Also, going by the Dema info we have, Tyler explained the theology of Vialism in an official discord interview to be the act of suicide that the Bishops glorify. Your theory that Clancy is the one that escaped makes perfect sense. Considering that the lyrics of Redecorate go against the act of suicide just explains how whoever wrote it defied Vialism and has the will to escape Dema.

When Tyler is performing Never Take It, as you said, we can see Trash the dragon on the floor. So I am guessing the lyrics "They're trying to weaponize you and I" refer to Tyler and the dragon. Not only does this tell us once again that the album is propaganda, but it also tells us that Dema is also after Trash. Also, we know that Trash signifies destruction, because of the lettering on its wings. Maybe, SAI is propaganda and Trash is some type of problem or deficiency in Dema, that they are trying to cover up and hide. This "problem" is trying to show itself to the world and if it does, Dema will be destroyed. OR maybe, Trash is some type of manifestation of Clancy that they have contained, and it is trying to escape to continue Clancy's works.

I noticed that Tyler looked up a lot during the livestream, mostly during some lyrics in Lane Boy and some other songs, like 'don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless'. Firstly these lyrics are so important for this album cause they all seem like perfect songs and he's basically saying please don't trust it, cause it's propaganda. More than that, the looking up made me think he was talking to the banditos in his head, like he was hoping they would be there watching over him (like in Jumpsuit)...

Did the bishops ever mention how many songs were on the album? I think they named songs but of course they never mentioned "no chances" or "redecorate".

Someone has mentioned that the "stars" in 8:25 could be representing the clique. Think of how the clique shine their phone flashlights in real life concerts during, for example, Trees. And how it looks all together - little star like dots in the stadium. And another thing - the lyrics "They want to make you forget" during nico and the niners. Think of how in the livestream, when the clique is showed in videos, their faces are all blurry and distorted. Like Tyler is slowly forgetting the clique. Finally, Bounce Man could be about Ned. Tyler mentioned in an interview that he hasn't been able to contact Ned. ("I-I-I don't know if you've got your phone'/ Cause this went straight to voicemail"). We can also see a "missing" poster of Ned in one of the store windows ("And my wife saw your face on the nightly news"). Music video for Chlorine was filmed in Mexico ("Float you a couple bands, then you head to Mexico" and "If you don't reply/ I'll know you must have crossed state lines")

I think the theme of a loop fits better than a dream because as we've discovered previously, Tyler's music is a vicious cycle of re-entering his thoughts that can be so hurtful, and acknowledging this through the metaphorical battle between Dema.

when tyler and josh reappear on the stage for Lane Boy, they are now accompanied by more band members, who wear DEMA jumpsuits. i think they appeared because the last time tyler was on the stage, he started to sing Holding On To You, and deviating from what the bishops wanted him to perform, so sending out band members was a method to keep him from trying to revolt even more

I am glad you did this. I wished that I had been able to record it just for my own purposes but I did not. I wanted to take time to go through it all like you did. I did not think it was going to be as much as it was. I thought just a concert, not what it was. It was amazing. I hope they sell a recording of it, or let us download it if we had a ticket or something! When I first noticed the host's blood on their shirts, the bruise on the guy's cheek and the blood under his nose, I had a feeling that there would be a lot of clues and hints shown. I was so enthralled that I was not able to think about it all as the show went on. So, thanks for doing this video!

OMG, You've just linked a theory that has been in my head for a while, I think Clancy is dead but it isn't because the bishops or someone in dema killed him. I think he committed suicide, in redecorate the chorus has the lines "I don't want to leave like this at least let me clean my room" most people that commit suicide clean their room before committing and you pointed out that Clancy's handwriting is the one on the redecorate music video. I think clancy killed himself and redecorate is his suicide note.

One thing that I thought of when you mentioned the falling apart of the simulation is in the first music video we saw in this album shy away we get quick looks of everything falling apart and even though it wasn’t shown in the song shy away being preformed I think it has something to do with that especially at the end of the performance when the alarms went off maybe saying that Dema is falling apart and the bishops are desperate so they did the live stream to have everyone think that they are still in charge even though we know in the song Nico and the Niners we are being told that Dema doesn’t control us as I said before my theory is this might be one act of desperation done by Dema to try and get control

I think you’re right in every aspect except Clancy still being alive. I think Clancy tried to escape Dema (mental health issues) but got caught by the bishops (his inner demons) and on Redecorate he can’t face the fact he lost the battle and is thinking about how the other Banditos(family members) is gonna handle his suicide.

They definitely need to finish the story off with a trench 2 album or with a different name, I love all their songs and albums but trench is by far the greatest album they have made
