I always love your videos, whether gardening, or making some type of floral arrangement, or decorating your home. I especially live the home tours. I like vintage and antiques, whether it be homes, furniture, or people. It is a joy to me, especially since I am vintage. LOL!! When you share about your parents, grandparents, or any other past relative I feel right at home. I love to talk about my family and past family members. Anyway, all was lovely. I am looking forward to our next visit at the Stone Cottage, to see what adventures you have been on. Have a Wonderful Christmas and a very Blessed New Year!!!!

The outside view of your home looks so cozy and charming, and makes you wonder what's behind that beautiful door! Your home looks like a place you want to stay and rest. Your grandmother's tree skirt was sure a labor of love. What a family treasure. Love all your very unique window garlands. Each one is so special. I especially love fruited garlands.. and anything with pine cones. And , of course. your kitchen is always my favorite space.

Lovely! I especially appreciate you using the vintage jewelry for decorations, I do the same. I have some sentimental not valuable pins that I hang on my Christmas tree every year, and I also like stringing my faux pearl necklaces and beaded bracelets on the tree, although this year they aren't on for I did a woodland/forest theme. They work great for my "glam" look tree and more traditionally decorated tree, which I will probably do for Christmas 2024.

Oh my gosh!!! I am absolutely going to make pillows out of my mother’s old mink coat!!!! I have always wondered how I would upcycle it and you have given me my inspiration!!!! Thank you soooo much!!! Now everyone can appreciate it!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

You can make lumbar pillows out of the sleeves. Just be warned, you will be fur everywhere when you start to cut it. Might try outside.

Such a wonderful holiday home tour, Lauri! I love your choice of vintage sparkly glam as your theme. I would have never thought to add costume jewelry as part of the decor, but that was such a great idea! I also love the tree skirt that your grandmother made....you are so lucky to have so many heirloom pieces! You are so creative. I have vintage jewelry that I will start using with my decor. Your home is so warm and welcoming. Also, I have a mink jacket that belonged to my mother, and it is falling apart, so I thank you for the great idea of how to reuse it. I was thinking of making little teddy bears with my mom's. Thank you so much! Teddy bears are great idea. The one upside of pillow is they are easy to sew! One tip: Go outside to cut the fur. Fur gets everywhere.

Laura, I always say my recipe always comes with an actual lesson because it's hard to master timing. The ingredients are the same that you find everywhere: 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1/8 tsp salt, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup chopped pecans. However, I double the recipe, toast the pecans while cooking the toffee, add the hot pecans to the toffee right when it's finished, spread the hot toffee on the cookie sheet I toasted the pecans with, top with chocolate chips and let them melt. I usually reserve some of the pecans to sprinkle over the chocolate since it is not tempered. I have often thought of doing a video since my technique is different.

I don’t cook like other people do, so it did not make a difference! I am looking for glycerin for my magnolia leaves. Smart light system!!! I never had a garland until I watched your show and Homeworthy. A man in Alexandria, VA did wreaths and garlands in the front part of the mantle, not on top. You started something with garlands! You inspired me!

I found glycerin at CVS in the section with lotions. Had to ask the pharmacy tech for help locating it.

@@stonecottageadventures304 the pharmacist wanted me to use glycerin suppositories for constipation for preserving magnolia leaves… I will not. Tomorrow I will find out if Michael’s has glycerin.
