Thanks for the appreciation! Equally, I get to hear records from 'across the pond' which are difficult to access here. A small number of your Victors & Columbias, do sometimes reach British labels.

Replaced the gaskets, diaphragm & adjusted the pivots some time back. As long as the motor is ok, most gramophones will play surprisingly well. All your phonographs do. Congratulations in keeping them in good order!

Yes! Piano accp. can work very well too! My two early postings of early recordings of 'The Floral Dance' are both piano backed, one being by Peter Dawson, the other being Robert Howe. The Robert Howe version is of interest, being on the 'Marathon Label' Marathons were an early attempt at extended play & even tho' its only a 10", it plays longer than Peter's 12" recording

@@tiga4180 That is fascinating! I do have some marathons but never looked much into the label. I think I only have one Robert Howe record, Haste To The Fair, can't remember the label though.

@@misterphonograph1893 It was pure chance that started my collecting Marathons. I inherited a 'Marathon' gramophone from my neighbours in the mid 1960's. It had 2 It came with 2 Marathon discs & a handful of conventional ones. It was only later that I learned that they were an early attempt at extended play. A bit like Edison Diamond discs, but not requiring a special stylus.
