Thanks Norman Got to 3’c on the day, so wrapped up well The day before as you can see on some of the footage had some snow the day before, but quickly melting the day we went up there. 66004 was due back up to Peak Forest but we had to go at 15:30 I’m all great day capped off with seeing the Choppers 😀

@@arthurgrowler5749 Was shopping in Buxton last weekend and 0 degrees with lots of deep snow. Still lots of main road closures so wasn't brave enough to get to Peak Forest. You picked a good time to go 👍

@@normanellis7666 wasn’t too bad to be fair as we were prepared and had plenty of layers on etc . There’s a loop run around next to the station might try that place at some point

66's Canadian, run by German, Mexican, US, Multi nation combines, and a couple UK. 60's UK but still run by the same groups as the 66's. With all that stone removed from the Peak area every day you would think it will start to rise? All of the quarries are not actually in the Peak Park area but they are in the Peak district. If you look at the map, the quarries all have a circular boundary to the Peak Park. Just think how many road journeys would be required to shift the same loads every day? The M1 is not big enough.

There is one quarry that operates in the Peak Park but it is at Hope Cement but that does not relate to the traffic on this video.

I dont like Sheds, but I must admit they seem to have some grunt. I'm old and out of touch, I'm guessing those loaded trains have got to be 2,500 ton, surely. I'm sure someone will put me right. Great video Arthur. 👍😎

Think they go to 2200 might be mistaken thou. They do a jumbo train down to London time to time over 4000 ton double headed and a banker engine to get up to peak forest. Leaves approx 20:00 at night. Haven’t seen it posted for a while thou…
