One of the most important movies ever made........ Thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world of drugs, Scott Baio....

When I was a kid, there's no question that this movie taught me that smoking pot was totally cool.

The movie not only showed us that smoking pot was cool and fun, but when it has to show that there must be a bad consequence, it's ridiculous and unrealistic.

Is it just my imagination or does Jack's life improve dramatically after he starts smoking weed?

this show influenced my marijuana use, thanks ABC after school special. Now I am going to fire up and yearn for the yester years pre-internet

This movie taught me about Marijuana the same way that Scarface taught me about coccaine! Aww, my 80s childhood.

I was 10 years old and remember my older sister and her friends watching this and laughing their asses off... years later she told the family at Thanksgiving dinner that she watch it high. This film shows how to smoke weed!

Some observations: 1. Pot turned him from an introvert with no friends (except shadowing his older brother ) to a joyful, amiable person. 2. Pot transformed his mundane appearance to something more hip and modern for the times. 3. Pot gave him the courage and swagger to get closer to Felicity (whose name is awesome), something he was too awkward to do without. 4. Pot gave him the courage to jump into the water HIGH AS F and rescue his larger, heavier brother during an extremely desperate life-or-death situation. Aside from slacking a bit in his grades and developing an edgier attitude, Pot did him some good.

Everybody knew a guy like Jack. Always stoned and never threw in.

First off You can smoke weed in still hit the gym hard, I do. Second that Felicity girl needs to shut her ass and actually try it for herself. Third if you smoke weed all day everyday you're body will eventually get use to it and you won't stay that high unless you lay off it for a while. And forth that kid just barely dodged a man slater charge. And the subtitles are off.

2022. Well, pot is now recreationally legal in my state and I'm stopping by my dispensary tomorrow morning for some edibles. I gave this a thumbs up to save it in my playlist and plan to watch it when I get back. I grew up in the 80's and remember Afterschool Specials fondly, but wow, have times have changed.

Bro, I was so high the first time I watched this movie. Literally didn't help a thing. I got off school, sparked a blunt and told my friends about this awesome movie I just watched in science class.

Pretty good water rescue for a stoned guy. Most people couldn’t pull that off sober.

I remember seeing this movie on TV back when I was a teenager. The part that kills me, as it did when I first saw the movie, was when Baio admitted he was stoned. That whispered “I was stoned” had me in tears, as it just did a few seconds ago. No, this movie did not deter me, it accelerated things, if you know what I mean. I got really stoned before I watched this. I hadn’t seen this in 40 years. The problem was that they blazed way too much like all day long it seemed. That brought back memories because a bunch of us in school would do the same but we didn’t do bongs in the morning or multiple spliffs. Moderation is the key.

This was an interesting watch simply because I was about 9 when it was filmed and miss the less distracted way of life. That said, this is pretty worthless as an anti-weed film. If they had left out the "Reefer Madness-esque" propaganda such as a complete lack of science it would have been more accurate and maybe effective for the target audience at that time. Watching it now...🙄🙄🙄. It must have been really easy to get backing for basically any film back then.
