I was NOT expecting a movie titled "Christmas Evil" to be this good.

The people in the Copyright Claims Department deserve lumps of coal in their stockings every Christmas for the rest of their lives, for keeping the review of this most amazing Christmas film from us for so long.

I believed Brad when he said that this ending was crazy but… Holy shit I still wasn’t expecting that.

I can respect any grown man who loves the Christmas Story so much that he refuses to put away the pink bunny outfit.

"Even worse, he could be in a bunny suit" You're right, he could be Bruce Willis in North.

Finally, this review is out of Copyright Claim Hell. And good thing too, because this movie is one of my favorite films to watch on Christmas.

I use to have the Santa doll he had hanging on the wall. His face would light up and play a garbled version of Wish You A Merry Christmas. It was an older vintage toy that in hindsight looked potentially cursed.

Man, this movie is a lot deeper than you'd expect something called "Christmas Evil" to be. The guy is mentally unwell, but ultimately he is trying to do good for the kids in his Santa fixation. The world which treats him like dirt rejects and ridicules him and drives him over the edge completely, and it makes you feel for him. Also, that ending is great and reminds me at least of the Twilight Zone episode "Night of the Meek". Especially with a down on his luck guy actually becoming Santa (seemingly so here, at least). Wondering if it had any influence on this. What an underrated thriller. Definitely putting this on next Christmas.

I really like this movie, it has a decent psychological thriller vibe.

I think this avoided the overly zealous outrage simply because it wasn’t a more mainstream company distributing it like what was the case with Silent Night Deadly Night.

It needs a post credit scene where Harry's van crashes into the cars from Repo Man and Grease.

It’s strange this one got hit, since it’s a public domain film.. it’s one of my favorite holiday horror films.

Thank goodness they finally released this from Copyright Purgatory! As far as Christmas exploitation movies go, I definitely prefer this eerie, slow-burn entry to the more lurid "Silent Night, Deadly Night." You get an A+, Brad.

For some reason, him driving off into the moon was very heartwarming.

This is one of my favorite holiday films. It's a great psychological profile film about a man who tries as long as possible to hold onto his innocence.

9:55 Even after all these years, that still makes me laugh. Also, "Clearly" Ridley Scott ripped the ending off for Thelma & Louis.

I love this movie such a time capsule of the time.

No joke, but as a Canadian all too familiar with long winters, it's actually impressive how great those torn up bags look and fall. It actually looks like real snow.

What I find interesting is that the story of the main character is similar to Joaquin Phoenix’s the Joker. The only difference being that it takes on Christmas and this guy had a bit more people he was pseudo-familiar with🤔 I honestly found it fascinating and wouldn’t mind checking it out in real life just because of that parrallel😁

I still think the creepiest santa scenes in all of cinema goes to the 'Child POV Christmas' dream sequences in _The City of Lost Children_ (1995?) '@_@' The 'Lynch mob out for Santa' scenes in this film are pretty friggin awesome tho XD

Tubi is the gift that keeps on giving. It has one of my bat shit crazy horror films, The Sentinel. I like pairing that one with The Legacy. The 70s and early 80s knew how to make bat shit horror. Both The Sentinel and The Legacy have all star line up with most being future superstars.

This is an amazing movie... And Yeh. I do like to believe he has become Santa too. It's a beautiful ending, for a wonderful character. He is the spirit of Christmas.

I love how this Santa came off as a legitimately nice and wholesome guy when he was dealing with people he considered nice

If you cut out certain scenes this could pass as a wholesome christmas movie lmao, especially for it's aesthetic and the thought put into the christmas decorations etc
