Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. You have no idea how much I needed this message at this point in my life. I am at a fork in the road. I am a 46-year-old OIF combat vet with PTSD. My wife asked me for a divorce late last year, and I have no more family except my 12 year old daughter whom I will no longer be able to see on a daily basis. In January, I was standing on a chair in my basement with an electrical cord wrapped around my neck. I am about to move into a van, finish writing a series of books, and pursue the dreams I thought I wasn't allowed to believe in. If it weren't for messages like this, I would've given up months ago. Thank you. Update: 11/14/22 - First let me say "WOW" and "THANK YOU" to all of you who supported me and my post. I had no idea at the time that my comment would reach that many caring and like-minded people. At the risk of equating my self-worth to the "likes" and positive replies (because David says to be cautious of outside validation), I wanted to let you all know how I am doing. The divorce went through and was settled with little hostility. My ex and I are doing the best we can to stay cordial for the sake of our beautiful daughter. Thanks to David Goggin's book (I finished it tonight), I am now hiking 10 miles a day with a 20lb backpack in northeast Missouri, no matter what the weather. I've lost 43 lbs. and still working toward a 160 lb. goal weight. I am no longer considering suicide as an answer to my pain. I have come to the profound yet simple conclusion that, if I am going to put my life in danger, it should at least be for something meaningful or that I want to do, like an extreme sport. I now embrace pain and suffering as a tool that sharpens me mentally and physically. Again, thank you to David for the attitude adjustment in this area. My #vanlife 2011 E-350 cargo van is coming along nicely. It's been tuned up, cleaned top to bottom, and ready for interior insulation, framing, and appliance install. I have a long list of places I plan to visit and new endeavors I want to try my hand at. I will be enrolling at a Christian University next fall in pursuit of a B.S. in psychology. Finally, while my first book "Cotton Coated Conspiracy" was published in 2021 (before my slide into divorce and depression), I am working on "Book Two" of the series at this very moment. In short, I'm looking forward to traveling across this great country of ours while working relentlessly towards my goals, failing at them, again, again, again, and again, and then succeeding. Thanks again to all of you for the love and to David Goggins for changing my messed up, victims mentality. STAY HARD! 🙏💪💪💪💪💪💪!!!!!

Once i stop caring, i became the bad guy. I have been called all kinds of things, i have got isolated , I have been blamed for things i didn't even do. I am still learning to not care , its not easy, God knows its not but i know it will get better, i hope, am still working on it. I am a really bad , evil, wicked, selfish person but i show up when they needed me to and they never showed up for me. I cheer for them all but they laughed in my face and treated me like trash, they never stood high cheering me on. I loved them all with my whole heart and it meant nothing, i was just a pay cheque, i was just an opportunity, or it was suppose to be that way. I asked for help and they used it to mock me and when things got good for me , they came asking for things from me. Am just ranting i know but its one of those days i feel really hurt and cant stop remembering how badly i have treated over and over by people i knew my whole life.

There's a peace that comes when you can admit your wrongs, your failures and know that not only are you working on changing it and improving yourself and your situation but also it's when you truly do not care what others think because you know in your heart, you're doing your best, youre making those attempts, you are being true to yourself and no one can stop you and no one can hurt you with their negative opinions. And don't ever compare yourself to others- they weren't born in your skin, they weren't born with your genes, your brain, your personality, your family history, they ARENT YOU. The key is to strive to be better than you were yesterday. Make goals and meet those goals. It's not about others, it's about being the best YOU that YOU can be. That's it. And It all starts with a thought. You have the right to dream any dream you want. No one can stop you! Reach for the stars. Don't give up.

If I tell people beforehand what I’m planning to do, I’ll often meet negativity. I’m usually telling them because I was insecure and wanted their approval. The negativity affected me and I quickly became discouraged. Once I realized this I stopped telling people my plans. It’s none of their business especially if what I’m planning on doing is challenging. So I find a way to get done whatever it is I set my mind too. Then if I decide to share what I’m up to it’s more about what I worked at and finished. Not in a bragging way, just matter of fact. Those negative folks have nothing negative to say and if they do it doesn’t affect me because I already finished it. Just something I found that helps me not let negativity and negative people bring me down. Peace.

If you enjoy topics about mastery and masculinity, I invite you to explore the videos I share on the Mastery Order Channel. Challenge yourself with some concepts about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would respect and admire. We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well. All the best to you!

Man have I been on a journey… I’ve always had social anxiety, but the pst 5 years it got so bad it was debilitating. Now that I’m coming out of it, this video and what it says makes more sense to me than it ever did before. To anyone struggling: one thing I’ve learned on my journey, and whatever journey you’re on, if you believe this ONE thing, you can accomplish ANYTHING… I CAN DO THIS Love y’all, stay strong, stay hard!

I love your encouragement, David... you help me try again when my physical disability gets in the way of particular success, especially commercial. My attitude has caused me - & likely others - a fair deal of existential angst & embarrassment, but I'm coming to own the discomfort, because I believe in the fighter's spirit despite what's dealt to a particular situation or condition. So, I see your adaptable soul as a brother-in-arms, despite my physical body having never worn a commercial-military uniform, especially one that symbolizes the success & honor of the 'silent professional.' I couldn't join the military (due to an automatic disqualifier), but I did try, which I believe matters when aiming for the the right reasons - personal-courage, selfless-service, and duty to liberty, self-esteem, family, & nations; etc... Respectfully, I commend your triumph over your life's obstacles, and I wish you continued victory in everything you do... I know we won't meet, but I understand your struggle with suffering, and I appreciate your approach to it, so I hope you inevitably find peace from it... I'm grateful you didn't have too bad a start in life, at least not physically - you have reasonably sound genetics so you were dealt a relatively manageable hand as far as your body is concerned; despite your environment (my genes are fair but my family does have a particular issue that has traveled, generationally; which has had its own peculiar disadvantage when entering the dark...) I was born with a congenital disorder known as Marfans syndrome, and the disease has structural symptoms because of specific protein inefficiencies. The primary concern is what it does to the heart & skeleton, mostly the spine. My case is medically light in comparison to some historical cases... Nevertheless, I needed a total of six fusion surgeries by the age of 25; I'm now 31 years (the surgery's intensity carried risks & complications, which is why I had so many)... Despite the moderate limitations, I've worked mostly in the medical field, but also in the logistics, retail, & hospitality trade... The American dream has inspired some business ideas, and your strength helps me through the doubt when the workload seems too much or pointless... Also, I love to run! I've run long distances, and I hope to continue to run when possible (marathons but no ultramarthons yet). Unfortunately, I lost my father last year to suicide & my mother has cancer this year so I've fealt a bit more defeated than usual, but your encouragement has helped when my soul has felt too tired to continue... I Thank you.

This video touched my Heart. I had the same issues as him, always be bullied because i was short and weared glasses. Did a couple bodybuilding competitions when i was in my 20,s. People said that i was not good enough, so that,s why it all went wrong. I gained almost 90 pounds, on a 5' 5" structure. Man i was so lost, drank a lot of alcohol , ate the wrong sh!t, and let people to take control over me. In 2000 i met this wonderful woman, and she said almost the same what David said in this video. Now back on track ,and training almost everyday. I quitted drinking, became a vegan in 2013. Getting better in every way, now i,m planning to get back in competition again. This video helps a lot. Thanks David Goggings for your wise words. Greetings from Alex, from The Netherlands. By the way , my wife is still my biggest fan. :)

It was when my daughter was born. Life had beaten me down pretty badly for a long time at that point. All of a sudden there she was. They pulled her out of her mom and handed her right to me. She fit in the palm of my hand. Her eyes were so blue and I could already see and feel how much she loved me and trusted me and needed me, & needed me to be the man I was supposed to be. I knew right then and there that I had to change everything. Whatever fux I had left evaporated on the spot. I will never quit, I will never stop, and I Will never back down ever again.
