No thanks, I already know how to get up early every day, set your alarm clock every night, when the alarm clock goes off in the morning put two feet out of bed on the floor and stand, that should do it.

Here is how I started waking up early everyday: 1. Removed my phone from my bedroom: I found my phone distracting before going to bed and after I woke up. I would spend 45 minutes needlessly scrolling. 2. Placed an alarm outside my bedroom: This forces me to physically get up to go turn it off. By the time I do that I'm already awake and it's hard to go back to sleep. 3. Immediately Start Purposeful Work: Within 30 minutes of getting up I start working on a purposeful project. I enjoy the work I do so it makes it super easy to get started.

I've made videos about this myself but Goggins expresses it far better than I ever could... sleep experts will disagree with me here but my personal experience is: if I sleep from 10PM - 5AM, I feel FAR more motivated than if I sleep 10PM - 5AM then snooze til 7AM... just being awake and getting stuff early while it's still dark out feels godly... even if the second half of my day ends up more 'relaxation mode', its worth the sacrifice of feeling a bit sh*t and cold for about 2 minutes... They say "if you lose an hour in the morning, you'll spend the rest of the day trying to find it." I couldn't agree more!

Working up 5 am and arriving home around 23:00h. I really want to go through the struggle and "fear" of changing everything? I developed a method for getting up early and its served me very well. I started by setting myself a soft goal, like just get up before 7:30am. I did this and then when I did was I recorded this time in a file on my phone, then the next day I set a goal that was just to beat this time, it could be even 7:29am. When I did that I kept going until I got to 5:30am. I rarely want to be up before 5:30 so I'll get up between 5:30am and 6:30am. I started this over a year ago and by now its ingrained in me. What kept me going at the start was that I made a game out of it, i was always trying to beat my previous time and when its like this it becomes fun.

That's great I just don't find it necessary. If someone gets up at 05:30am, 07:00am, 08:00am, or even 09:00am that's up to their individual biology. Every person is different. Some people are better at getting up at 4:00am and others it wrecks them. There is no One Size Fits All standard on physical and mental health. Someone else's challenge might be to sleep an hour later than the normal time they get up, for example, and they feel better when finally accomplishing that. What drives me nuts about these motivational vids on KZfaq is they keep pushing for a singular answer. There is no singular answer. Each person and their circumstance may be different.

im with him , i live alone so theres nobody around to motivate me or keep me in check . after a while you realize it really is all on you to better yourself and there is no shortcut to greatness of any kind , but you can achieve it no matter who you are or what your situation , just get after it , do what you can , and then do more , strangely enough things will begin to fall into place and the more they do the easier it will get for you to achieve more if you continue to improve yourself because you will be getting stronger and smarter which leads to more progress . its a viscious cycle . im up to 5 miles a day now plus other exercises aside from my daily tasks , job , school etc. and its all leading to more because im able to handle more . im not special by any means i just made a decision one day to start and not stop . if your reading this you can achieve greatness , just go for it and dont let anybody stop you or tell you you cant , especially yourself . excuses are easy , life is hard , so stay hard 💪

I just watched this hating myself laying on my bed and drinking beer. Then got inspired to go on a run. But it was raining and my only shoes were soaked. Without thinking twice I got up, chugged my beer, and ran in the rain barefoot. I would have normally looked at people's reactions to me barefoot but remembered I AM THE PURPOSE and it is for ME! I felt empowered doing it all for myself as those people went by me. I feel a million times better. Thank you for the motivation

I been hung up on the idea of purpose in life for years because it feels like i had no passion for any craft that i do i get bored with things i thought i was passionate about in the beginning so when that dies down i feel like im lost. But what goggins said about not needing a purpose to thrive and the only purpose is getting better at whatever it is is ur doing to be a better you. That really spoke to me and was something i needed to hear that i dont think anyone around me could have ever explained to me. Thank you.

Absolutely agree. That is the most difficult thing to accept and to keep accepting day after day. When my off-season starts and the gap between then and the start of the next season, it's about mental discipline to keep training. Maintaining the sense of "this is what we do now" and avoiding quitting. That's when you must move forward. When you absolutely don't want to do it. That's when it is most important.
