This is great and I can’t believe I came across it. I’m currently getting panicked about my eyes. It’s not a I need glasses thing and they are overstimulating my brain. I’m currently trying to heal from benzo so have lots of fear etc etc and a lot of stress. I cannot release under my skull at back; I generally have insane muscle tension. I’ve been really scared the tension here could have starved my brain stem or cerebrum but also the health anxiety ugh (never had this before this recovery hell. I’m always looking for ways to try to help my body nervous system that is a mess. The eye thing got worse after prolonged stress as did nervous system it feels. Sometimes I feel my skull at base like give, mostly after a long crying spell, and it’s like a relief but doesn’t last. The muscles are like tight rubber, but they all are all over. I’ve tried everything. Thank you for explaining this as I’ve been getting into a state about my eyes.

As a survivor of child sexual abuse, my right eye got stuck in a state of hypervigilance always looking behind towards my right side wary of being attacked. This has been the cause of my scoliosis. Sadly, the medical experts don't treat scoliosis as a mind-body issue. They stupidly diagnose most cases of scoliosis as idiopathic (cause unknown) 😢
@Somaticralph
@Somaticralph 6 ай бұрын
Wow, this is EXACTLY my experience! I'm also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, dealing with scholiosis and so many mobility issues that I've realized are all connected to my right eye! Sometimes I have a sudden rush of adrenaline and this weird sense of a threat, and it always seems to be coming up on my right side. So I'm under the impression my brain developed a suppression pattern by avoiding to look at a certain point of my visual field, or overly obssessing at a certain point, I'm not sure which one. My visual field just doesn't feel seamless, there is this point of tension there.

Thank you! This makes a lot of sense and the pen pushups have instantly made my neck slightly less stiff and my vision clearer. My chronic neck pain comes with lots of visual disturbances. My consultant at the pain clinic at the hospital says my visual problems are most likely psychological from the pain but I didn’t really believe him because most of my pain is in the occipital area and collar bones.

Thank you! Just what I needed! But as I was doing pencil push-ups, I noticed a trembling. Am not sure whether my hand was trembling or my eyes were jittery. Have been having pain under the skull on the lower right, today. Last week, had an ophthalmological migraine, without headache, the first one in years. Also, for a week, positional vertigo on left, when trying to get out of bed. I know how to stop and fix the vertigo, except it is not supposed to come back each day. Because of fear of vertigo, I have been sleeping on reclining chair or slouched on couch, so not hard to get up, so may be creating posture problems. What can you tell me about the jitteriness. It is just because of the length of my pen, or is it like my mother-in-law used to describe as "dancing eyes"? I never noticed this before.

So when I lay my head back against a pillow or cushion and either get pain or a burst of vertigo and tinnitus (usually with a minute or so delay) this is ultimately blood flow related? Last year my PT gave me pencil push-ups and another exercise for what she called an eye convergence issue. All related, huh? Super helpful videos, Dr P!

No. You will see double in the beginning until your eyes becoming stronger and more balanced. Then you should eventually see one

I'm seeing double in the background of the pencil. So for example, the plant which is at the other end of the room. Hmm.

Hey Doc, for over 20 years the right side of my forehead shows how hot I get (red), the left side of my forehead is normal (splits right down the middle of my forehead) color but below my forehead on my left side of my face/jaw is pale. My right eye appears to be swollen most of the time. I have gut issues along with mucus production in my esophagus all day and night. I’m currently doing the lymphatic drainage and other tips you’re giving. This all sounds like the glymph/lymph to me. Any other advice?? I’m never without brain fog or a nagging headache

Sounds like lymph and sympathetic nervous system issues. Try to attend our Lymph Mojo course this coming weekend

Really appreciate this content.. But does this help improve or preserve vision?

Thank you very much. Not necessarily but the eyes don't move without muscles and when your muscles are balanced you can change vision.
