Masterfully said, Julien. 1. Love yourself and improve 2. You are not incomplete, the other person isn't your missing piece, you should aim to be a complete and content person and find synergy with the one you love. 3. Don't put up fronts or act perfect, if people only like you because of your facade, it will hurt you inside. THANK YOU ♥🧡🧡🧡

People go to the other extreme. Where they believe they must be totally independent. So they become guarded, afraid of connection, mistrusting of letting people meet their ‘needs’ Its not needy to have needs but there must be a balance. A collaboration and willingness to invest equally. The relationship is like building a house. If you invest more, you put in more work, its unbalanced, If you need more, you might be taking more, or expecting more. No one is ever complete. They always need more.

I havent been single since I was 17 years old. I am 32 now. The last 2 relationships i have been in were for 7 years and 6 years. I love your videos. Because they teach me how to put my emotions into words and my habits into question. I have always been a people pleaser and codependent as hell. "Attract, not pursue" really stuck with me. I can sense that you genuinely know what your talking about. You walked the walk sir! Keep doing what you are doing.

@@JulienHimself You beautiful, beautiful man. Ha, thank you! 😊🙌 I'd like to add how it's both funny and ironic how terrible and unmotivated my performance at school was, yet when it comes to your lectures/people who merge their teachings, of their own personal life much less, with a genuine, charismatic, and caring attitude, I can study and take notes all day long. You'd think I was almost trying to make up for my public schooling. :P Haha. Have a good Sunday Julien, and everyone reading this. 👊 The fact that we are all here on a weekend morning, instead of watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or something, shows that although our minds and external expressions may be in need of course correction, the strength and passion contained within our hearts never changed. ❤️

Hey, I wanted to say thanks for helping me. I had a lot of metal problems over the years, but after the death of my mother I got a huge kick in the butt to do something about it. And thanks to you I now understand why I connect on a fundamental level with King Théoden from LotR (Core Identity). A broken man, ashamed of his existence and complete failure, tries to become worthy again, but only does so in a final act of heroism. I now understand that I am deeply ashamed of my own existance and every addiction and habit I have is to flee from that feeling, that I should not exist. My mother was great at implanting that idea in me, always reminding me how little my existence matters in her live, most of the time in a very passive-aggressive, indirect way. I now slowly allow myself to feel all that and nolonger try to kill/hide those feelings. It will take time to accept and let this feeling go, but I am very thankfull that you have helped me with this riddle that I was only able to solve now in my late 20s. Thanks!

She did you a huge favor brother. Life will continue to put people & circumstances in your ‘path’ to show & teach you lessons, and to help you identify and understand where you are not ‘free’. Your only charge is to learn the lesson(s). Too, you will keep encountering different teachers for precisely the same lesson(s) until you truly learn the lesson. TBH - there will always be more lessons, hence more teachers. Count on that. XOXO

Healthy relationships are built on rules, not love. To be strong enough to respect their rules and hold your partner accountable to your rules is the key, and to do that you need to be okay with the fact that you may not be compatible, and that's OKAY. I'm really liking someone just...speaking like a normal human about all this shiz. Too many people, especially in the space of men, just shit on women. But it takes 2 to tango, we gotta put in the work too, and part of that is accepting that women aren't what the red pill OR blue pill ppl say they are, they're just.... other humans with different values, beliefs and wants just like us men, just like everyone else. I'm appreciate this guy's candor.

My parents used to fight so much. I can completely relate to the way you said it. I still am hopeless to find love. Just the thought of it makes me procrastinate and immediately make me think of the future and far future making me ultra stressed out and eventually give up. If you were to find someone with the maximum number of socio-psychological issues in a single body/mind, it'd have to be me. I'm a failure. Everytime I think of changing beyond the past, my body, appearances give in and I am back as my old self, clearly deteriorating with time. Man I so wish I was young enough like your audience to have actually given it a chance. Wouldn't be letting regrets eating me alive. Goal-less, spine-less, self-hating single 38 year old virgin man. Hey Julien i like how you growing with different perspectives. If you really care for this world could you geniunely share things which goes wrong that you felt after your marriage or don't do tips or approach for people to have for healthy relationship and marriage in age where divorce rate is increasing. MY DOUBT- maybe its sounds normal to you but in your eastern world like India before this generation not influenced by western lifestyle etc there is not even people think that divorce is also a way if its not work, why there is so much understanding of evolutionary psychology, human behaviour and anthropology etc but still we are missing core pieces about relationship and marriage which specially out parents and grandparents got it. MY REQUEST- Sir in dating community I listen very selective people who speaks from deeper observation understanding and practically rather trash ideas from any books. I think if you really serious into self and dating world you could set golden names in this industry by filling gap by sharing major problems solution arising and facing by most population in this world. Love from India 🙏🏾.

I don't know why I got this video suggested and why I'm writing here as my opinion might be unpopular based on the other comments. There is nothing wrong in searching for your other half and it's indeed important to do so, you can do everything alone but having a romantic life and a partner is actually good for you and for your soul. throughout history and all cultures humans know that love is the most important thing in life and more important above all is when you meet your partner as there lies your future life. In the western world it's so common to see this dating culture as if dating were something normal, it's ok but what for? I am not surprised of people suffering and the on top of that believing that they are the problem because they are not ready or because they should be able to be by their own first rather than be in a relationship (sounds familiar?, to me this sick society is the problem)
