Amber this is so special - totally used to be so jealous of my cousin - she is beautiful, came from wealth, when my parents worked twice as hard as hers…. I looked ordinary - I was jealous of her possessions, clothes and shoes - everyone thought she was a model. Now I grew up I realise I was the lucky one …. And still am. I live in the real world. Yes I love my beautiful parents close together but I have the best husband and daughter. Life isn’t perfect but I love my small bubble of appreciation because we all love each other so much and share the same values x x x

Amber you are so sweet! I loved this and agree on all 5. One of my favorite sermons I ever heard the preacher said "Do not envy anyone else's life. If you could walk one single day in their footsteps and heard the thoughts and memories in their head you would want you life back immediately. We all have our problems." Really love number 5.

Beautiful video Amber! 💕 I compare myself to myself! I look back on the “old me” and reflect on where I am today. I find it’s far more motivating and positive when we “compete” with ourselves to keep evolving rather than waste time looking around at others. I teach my kids the same. And I 100% agree, being grateful for everything we have frees us to genuinely celebrate others’ wins and cheer them on wholeheartedly! 😊

I have seen over the years especially during the bank failures of 2008 and Covid that anything can be gone in an instant. Those you compare yourself to may not always be in that position. You can’t take all the things with you.

Thank you for the helpful video. I compare myself to others way too much, and I’m often doing it when I’m looking at photos on Facebook of people living so much more luxurious lives than me. Some of those people worked hard for their money, but others do it even though they’re in debt. I think the last point you made, sticks with me more; don’t compare yourself to others and be the best YOU can be. I spend too much time focusing on the bad mistakes I’ve made in my past, and the difficulties I have in my life, and I forget to congratulate myself on what I’m doing well.

I agree with all 5 points you've made, As much as I love social media, I do also think that unfortunately more of the people dont take it in a light matter & you said it perfectly. That’s why I love you Amber💗. You speak my language🤭. Comparison can be the thief of joy. In this social media age, it can be hard to not compare yourself in so many ways, but if we tap into gratitude it truly helps us eliminate that need to compare. I have a gratitude book for all the blessings in my life, old and new, and whenever I may feel downcast I go into my book and remember all the good things God has done in my life. I try to teach this to my children as well! I think you doing a great job with your daughter, as that is an excellent way to teach about hard work! Great video Amber! We all need this reminder 💗

i really think you do not have to explain yourself or justify your purchase to people who watch youtube. when i watch you tube i don't know these people personally and don't know what they have in their bank acounts. and i don't know if these peoples items are real or fake. i don't understand why people would be jealous of strangers. and i always tell my kids and husband , never be jealous, it is not healthy, be happy for people for what they have, just do for you and be happy , because someone with all the material items may JUST BE MISERABLE INSIDE. it is never good to be jealous. be happy what you can do for yourself. otherwise you'll become a bitter person. i've seen it. sometimes money is the root to all evil.
