I've realized that constantly looking for bigger creators for inspiration can sometimes make your content feel stale and uninspired. Just because they have a larger following doesn't mean their content is always better. It's time to breakaway from imitation and embrace innovation!

This was everything I needed to hear. I am a written storyteller whose subscribers have been asking for video content. And I got so sidetracked with big creators pushing their 'do this, not that'...that it paralyzed me from even starting. But finding this type of advice helped me finally stop agonizing over it.

I feel the same way. I try not to look at the bigger creators in my niche to replicate what they are doing. I have my own audience I use what they tell me as ideas for my videos! I think it's better that way! Keep up the videos...I know you're pushing yourself to be consistent but if this isn't fun anymore, take a break. I often publish two-three times a week for a while and then stop for a month or two and go back to once time a week. It hasn't stopped me from growing!

I'm a small creator in SA and I absolutely agree. Actually I stopped watching big creators, it will stunt your growth. Smaller creators are more authentic

10:51 It seems to me that if it's boring to you, that's going to come through on the video. That's the challenge. You have to find ways to take the things that are not boring to you and share them with your audience in a way that communicates why you are passionate about them. If you are passionate about what your video is about, that also is something your audience can feel. Keep in mind that this is all just my opinion. I used to make KZfaq videos like a thousand years ago and I am just now trying to get back into it. If my stuff takes off, great. But I have to keep reminding myself that the first and most important step is that I actually like what I'm doing.
