Good tips ... They really help ... I member a time when you just had 2 watch basketball and pay close attention 2 how moves, crossovers, and shots were done ... And a lot of the times back in my day basketball tutorials were just the basic fundamentals of the game ... So good work on explaining and showing how these moves are done

Can you do a video on the thumb flick (kyrie Irving shoots this way). And the hard/stiff index finger release because Jordan used that esp in midrange. I use both but I only got it down pack for a midrange shot(you could pretty much shoot however you want midrange, so I just want to know how to do these correctly so I can shoot from 3) It would do wonders for me if you did

I liked most of what you said, but that spin-move... spoken like a true guard, man. If all you are getting out of your spin-move is a little back protection while you blow by, you're doing it wrong. If you REALLY want that spinmove to work, do the spin crossover. Try this: (I'll give it from the fake left, go right perspective) With the defender in tight (but not quite a post-up) power dribble from right to left hand between the legs (your left leg out front to not only sell the left drive, but also to protect the ball from getting stripped). You are going to want to stomp fake your left foot to make a perfect triangle with their feet as they guard you. This is important for getting the contact you want on the spin in a second. If you are too far away, the spin is slower and has a blunt impact rather than a constant contact with your defender... which means higher chance of getting called for a charge... higher chance of the defender catching up... don't do blunt impact. You actually want to roll your body against theirs for the spin move. The more roll the better angle you will get. Then, as the ball makes it across to your left hand, you start the spin by bringing your right foot forward until you belly up your opponent. Your left foot should be still in a triangle with their feet, and your front torso should be pressed against their left shoulder as you roll around their left shoulder and bring your right shoulder behind their shoulder (to limit their turning mobility). The more contact you make on the spin, the better... but I don't mean blunt contact. You should literally roll up against your defender and have a slight constant push against them as you roll your right shoulder behind their left shoulder (without holding) and then your back, and finally hold them away from your shot with your shoulder when you go for the layup or baby hook. The key here is... the spinmove in the video, it looks like you are making contact with your defender for maybe a quarter roll. Just your back and then you use your speed to get away. If you do it right, you are contacting their body for 3/4 of a full roll, and the slower you take it, the farther off balance and out of position your man will be. Sometimes I can roll a guy so effectively... that I get my shoulder in behind theirs and prevent them from turning and literally go to the basket with my man behind me still facing the wrong direction. In short... if you do the spinmove and speed is your primary concern, you're doing it wrong. The spinmove is almost a judo move in which you limit your opponent's ability to turn. *Protip... if you're having trouble making sense of exactly what I'm describing, try this. Try to do the spinmove in a way that you could pinch your opponents shoulder with your shoulderblades as you spin and slap him on the ass as you pass him. THAT is how you trap his shoulder and keep him from turning around to catch you.
