The grocery store is loaded with foods that contain way too much cane sugar! But luckily there are many options now that are using healthier sweetener options, like coconut sugar and maple syrup. There are plenty of low carb and keto options that use monk fruit, stevia, and erythritol combined with other high quality ingredients. Let's walk around the grocery store and how you how to avoid high sugar products and replace them with better options. Made Love!!
Laird coconut sugar(and the Instafuel is delish!): bit.ly/3jwldjb

It makes me sad that eating clean and healthy is so expensive that most people cannot afford to do so. We as consumers ought to demand more from the food industry - that’s the only way they’ll be incentivized to compete and deliver better ingredients at more accessible prices.

Bobby here’s a tip: show price tag of the products you look at. Compare the good and bad food and explain if the price increase is worth it
@andreacremeans1055
@andreacremeans1055 3 жыл бұрын
I will usually do that. If I can make it myself and work it into my schedule without it affecting my stress I will also make my own products. I make my own yogurts and breads etc. already. But I will also make some other foods and stuff if it’s more affordable than the expensive option at the store. Yogurt for example is best when made at home. You get the most probiotics at their freshest point when you make it at home. The best yogurt I have available is $6.00 plus per tub (less than a quart) and I can make it for less than $1.00

Oh my really ? HOW DID YOU DO IT? I LOVE MY SWEETS.....I even tried the Reese Cups that Bobby likes, they were horrible....and cost over $3.00 for (2) little cups....I am glad I didn't like them lol.....choc. is my downfall & potato chips..... somedays I don't even eat either one, but other days I just have to have them.....I gave up Pepsi yrs. ago and rarely drink and soda drinks and if I do it's Root Beer or Ginger Ale.....so this was really no problem for me.....I don't think I have to not eat either but I keep hearing how bad sugar is for you, so I am cutting back on that....but at my age....my Son says Mom just eat what you want.....sounded good, but if I can get a few more yrs. out of NOT eating so much sugar.....I'm willing to try.....lol.....and to hear your story Charlotte, I admire you for you will power you have..... stay with you and you will be fine....keep up the good work girl.....God Bless you.....

I was craving strawberry milk yesterday, so I went and bought a Darigold 14 fl. Oz bottle. I took a sip and I immediately had to look at the nutritional label. It tasted like pure sugar, and when I checked, it had 63 grams of sugar in it, which is insane. I should have checked, I just didn't know it could and/or would be that crazy!

I recently bought monkfruit for the first time thanks to your recommendation. He loves monkfruit. I think he's using too much of it, he went through four 8 oz bags in 1 week. It doesn't really help that his Dr just says to cut back on his carbs and he refuses to see a nutritionist. So it's all me researching and trying new things.

Hey Bobby, Thank you! Your videos are always so informative. They open my eyes to products that I would normally pass up in the supermarket. What about a "replacement/substitute/eat this not that" video for everyday basic items that we use all the time? You may already have review a lot of these items in different videos, but I was thinking of adding in baking items - Dessi's turf 😉! Maybe show both a "Keto" and a "better for you" version, items like sugar(which you did here already), brown sugar, power sugar, corn starch, baking powder, baking soda. vanilla extract, garlic powder, seasonings and whatever else....you know what I mean.

I appreciate the video. The prices for those foods are outrageous. When people want to eat healthier, the food companies surely make it hard for them. We make our own baked goods, for a fraction of the cost. We mostly eat eggs but for a change, it is also easy to make you own cereal with good and healthy ingredients. Also, we are experimenting with making our own ice cream. Even though I can afford the extra money to buy the pricey brands of foods, it goes against my principles and I refuse to support their larceny. And besides, I would rather eat foods I make, not something made in a factory. I’ll keep making my own.

They didnt have coconut sugar and no calorie sugar. Personally, I dont care about the calories. I care that sugar causes inflammation and insulin to rise. I dont want that. No offense Bobby, but $15 for a 10.5 ounce box of that NuCo cereal on Amazon is too expensive for my budget. Love the Purely Elizabeth grain free granola. I also get the Nature's Path grain free granola from Target! Also Zellies gum on Amazon is a good price, $9.50 for 100 pieces. Xylitol in it, so keep it away from your pets!

Just an FYI, Thrive market has their own coconut cereal for 7.49, same size box-same cereal. Still expensive, but i do love that cereal.

teach people how to make homemade ice cream, the commercial ice creams are unhealthy, i use coconut sugar in my home made ice cream but i wanna use maple syrup too, thank you for all the information, sharing is caring. i make home made ice cream using 1 cup of whole milk and 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, that's the perfect ratio.

Hey Bobby, great video! Thanks for all the tips! Just a friendly suggestion: if you’ll be touching a lot of the store products to show us the contents and nutrition facts, I strongly advise you wear gloves :) just for your safety and the safety of others. In our city, we use a “window shopping” method. Only touch what you’ll be buying :) Stay safe!

My wife and I love your videos! When looking at a product we ask each other if it is Bobby approved! We both lost over 70 lbs since November. We used practically no added sugar. I have been looking for a good sugar substitute for a long time. I avoid man made ones like the plague! I've tried stevia and Lakanto. My conclusion is that there is NO substitute for sugar! I haven't tried the coconut sugar yet though. I suspect that I would not like the nutty flavor. How does it compare to sugar as far as calories?

Thank you for all your hard work. I now walk around saying "is this Bobby approved?"😄 I have a question about protein powder, I read there is one that is absorbed much slower so it doesn't spike sugar levels as much. Since I didn't write it down, I can't remember which one it is. I know it's not whey. Thank you again
@ponchoskunk420
@ponchoskunk420 4 жыл бұрын
You’re talking about Casein Protein. And it doesn’t spike blood sugar high, it just doesn’t spike protein in the blood as high as whey since it’s digested slower. You can get it either in a powder or in yogurt and cottage cheese.

Thank you for you information packed videos... i learn so much and am exposed to what's in the market... really helps with my going keto a few weeks ago🙏 I do get confused in how you read the labels... something had 24 grams total carbs, 1 gr fiber... yet you said thats great... and you read the added sugars as 4 grams... to me it still looks like a lot of sugar... then realized you are reading it differently than I am... could you point me to an older video in which you are going over how to read labels... that would help.
